I am from the North Belt and since DAY1 when the 12 were selected.. we picked up Debu amongst all and started supporting him..We found him the most deserving..

yaar, y dont u petition the US govt also n have George Bush step down. After all, he got votes from all his "Red" States, enuff to make him win. So unfair to have folks from your states voting 4 u, while ur opponent is not able to inspire even his own crowd to support him.

Now given the understanding u exhibit, i can understand if u dont know who George Bush is, but u do know who Man Mohan Singh is, yes?

Everyone votes 4 their "own" by and large. That is reality n there is nothing wrong with it. It's one of the basic tenets of democracy, electing people who'll represent you. As a Punjabi, i am not ashamed to say i do not see Deve Gowda representing me or for that matter some criminal from UP who'll be ready to fire up unions and kill factory bosses (I HAVE SEEN THAT!). You r of course free to vote 4 whoever catches ur fancy.

Why can we accept a PM from the "North Belt" but not a singer from NE?
This silly point had been raised by AS/HR after they realized that (due their imbecilic comments) NE was voting in massive numbers. Too bad that people here are buying into this ploy to "divide and rule"...
I also agreed with Shaan here when he said that North/South were also neutral zones for Debu just like East/South for Vinit...
