I dont kno whether this match is fixed. But there are 4 factors that would make me believe that he got 20 laks votes from west -

1. Himesh may have hired few guys to send sms to vote for vinit
2. Gujarathi votes (mumbai-gujarat) since Himesh is Gujju
3. UPites settled in mumbai (its a large population)
4. Most of the Bombay-Gujarat ki teenage girls carry cell phones & they are all Vinit fan

Excellent Analysis, Dev76!! Don't know how I did'nt see this one earlier!

You have calculated and put out the facts in a clear manner, and it proves very well that there is no doubt as to who the final 2 participants are, whichever way the votes are counted. I just wish we could fax a copy of this to Aadesh 😊 Hopefully, he would see sense then!

To clarify, Hemu was my top choice for the #1 spot. However, I did not take the effort/expense to vote for anyone, so I do not have the right to pick to pieces contestants for whom people have voted!

Each person spends Rs. 6 per SMS and to casually discard votes just because they came from a contestants home ground seems very wrong to me. I hope Aadesh realises how childish and incorrect his behaviour on the show was. I personally feel that Hemu was a better singer than Debu and Vinit (I like all 3 of them, him a little more than the others 😊 ). However, once the contest was thrown open to public voting, the results were not in anyone's hands. People vote for whatever they see, not just on talent. Be it Vinit's pyaar, maa, Debo's sentiments amongst thers. And if NE states feel like spending so much on multiple votes just to support Debu, then more power to them. Their voice is the voice of India, just as much as NE is a part of India!!

Such linear normalization would only work in an ideal world. Also, we don't know how votes are distributed among call-ins, sms, and the internet. Everything seems shady with SRGMPs voting process.

AS would not know a calculator from his cell-phone. It is just his ego and his emotional investment in his contestant that have caused those statements.

And, what were those letters he was hinting about? Anyone have an idea what he was alluding to there?

Now, lets normalize votes for all zones. Since East and West contribute approx 41 laks each. Lets bring south and north to 41.

North + 8 30 3 41

South + 2 4 35 41

East 34 5 2 41

West 10 20 11 41

Normalized 54 59 51

Still Debo & Vinit sail through to finals. So final words - "Public ka faisla sar aankho pe" !

U people don't agree,that manipulation of votes is taking place. But whatever may be the case, Hemachandra is the best of the lot, he already is a winner by getting the offers from Subhash Ghai and AR Rehman.

dev76 analysis is pretty much what shaan said...... but the bottom line remains that votes are an inaccurate measure of talent, b it with in ones so called region or beyond... if this was not the case than nihira wouldn't have to go so early. like HR said chandu is the champ!

good work but one problem... i think that aadesh was referring to counting ONLY neutral zone scores which would have been 10, 20 and 11 respectively allowing for Debo's removal.

He tried all possible ways to get Debo out . .. finally the neutral zone thing worked in his favour ..
