There were only 3 songs in an episode of 50 min.....!! There was too much of blabbering from HR, AS & above all SG...
And nonsense AVs etc......
I can't explain in words how irritating HR sound shouting from top of his lungs or how venemous AS appears from within & outside, ID somehow has stopped speaking ( thanks)
The point most important is that all singers were once again seen singing from their position of strength ( genre), if Debo fell for Kishoreda, Hema for Hariharan & Vinit for ofcourse one & only Sonu Nigam...!!
This wouldn't have been allowed if judges like Shiv-Hari were present.
Om Shanti OM: has been sung by Kishoreji & I'm against any one attempting his songs even remotely, if he doesn't have that voice quality, IMHO no one shined in this song, it sounded better only when all 3 were singing together, that's the power of Kishore's voice...!!
But the singer who faded most in this song was Vinit.
Debojeet: Ek hasina thi is LP composition, and he uses a lot of violin, in the track all violin pieces had been replaced by string mode of keyboards which was shrilling at high notes. Debo's performance was flawless & perfect, I listened carefully he was catching all range of notes quite well.
Vinit: Another SN song....!! but he really sang it well.
Hema: Much discussed song.....mere saath hai from Taal: Hema was quite good, this song has quite a lot of work on low & medium notes which Hema commands quite well. All the best to him, he accepted the defeat quite well. He is technically quite good, this will take him far ahead.
It appeared to me at least that he knew the result beforehand...I noticed some indications..
