The fact is no one is extraordinarily great nor no one is bad to listen to, unnis-bees ka fadak hoga. It also depends on the choice of songs.(Like the Nihira's last performance, she did not choose the right song though she sang very well. It was very difficult song and not so popular.)So why to make a fuss citing regional divergence? It's just a show, let it run smoothly without creating any controversy.

Madhuji ki Vinit mein(aur uski mentor mein bhi) abhi se bahut ghamand hai. How dare he belittle another contender in front of the whole country by saying "Kisko kitna gana ata hain hamein bhi thoda bahut pata hain." He's job there is to perform, not to offer his judgement. Listening to that even ID could not control himself, he said ,"Chaal beta main bhi sunu tu kya gata hain."

Their conspiracy is out infront of the whole country. Now I am sure people will be pouring votes all over India in favour of Debojit, thus shutting those loud mouths.

But if you think about it, technically the only state who can claim to sing Hindi Music is really, Madhya Pradesh, since in UP the predominant language is Urdu. Even the Hindi spoken there is mixed with Urdu. Let's see. Delhi? No, there's a mix of Urdu and Punjabi there, so you can't have the people from Delhi competing in a "Hindi Music" competition either. Bihar? No, they speak Bihari. Maharashtra? No, they speak Marathi. Haryana? No, they speak Haryanvi. Punjab? No, Punjabi....

So since your favorites (Vinit and Himani) are not from Madhya Pradesh, then even they should just stick to singing Urdu nazhmein, and Punjabi/Haryanvi geet, and let the real Hindi speaking people (Madhya Pradesh folks) stick to Hindi singing.

He was trying t get a point across by breaking down hindi and as to ur remark Madhu D that urdu is spoken In pakistan u are wrong urdu is spoken in many parts of Up mixed with Hindi which we call hindustani 😃

and madhu who told haryana speaks hindi...then who speaks haryanvi or who speaks bihari

Imagine what this means – Lata and Asha should have sung only Marathi songs, Kishore Kumar Bengali songs….And what the hell A.R. Rahman, Salil Chowdhury and RD Burman was thinking when they composed Hindi songs???

BTW : Both SD and RD Burman is from THE North East!!!
