Abhishek reminds me of young Puneet Issar
I think what you guys arent understanding is that when they say someone got for example 75% Votes from the NE, that DOESNT mean that person got 75% of the total votes. That means that out of HIS OWN total votes, 75% were from the NE. One more thing, when someone, gets lets say 2% votes from one place, 3% from another, and 2% from another and then 93% from where he/she is from...that shows inconsistancy, that overall people are voting for him/her based on regionality..this is not the elections, this is the Voice of India...the person with almost an equal average from most areas is clearly consistant and is getting votes based purely on talent, and not on theatrics like your mentor walking away and your wife giving an emotional speech.
I dont know if i fully support them walking out, but i will say that when Debojit got the highest votes, I felt that it was unfair. Ismail D. walked out of the last show. Debojit's wife gave an emotional speech. At that time I would like to say that Ismail D was right in walking out as he was still upset about Neehira being outted and then the other mentors gave Debojit a low score on his performance and he walked out. I dont know why everyone keeps forgetting that we are down to the final 4. Debojits voice cracked in the middle of that performance and in comparison to the rest of the contestants, Debojit did deserve that rating. He is a very good singer no doubt, but he hasnt been consistant. Yes we can remember a few times that he sang this song or that. But the rest of them have shown a better performance than their last time if not the same. This is a show where only one person will win. Debojit is good but at this point when you put all of them up against each other, he is the worst out of the best. I feel he shouldve gone BEFORE Neehira. Either way, out of respect for the mentors and to not come out and say it, the three who walked out couldnt say why, but let me tell you what i felt. Because of all the emotions flying from Mr Darbar and the public appeals, anyone could tell that Debojit got the votes purely based on sympathy. Because come on, we all watch this show, we have been sizing all of them up against each other, if Debojit was to stay..then he certainly would not have out of nowhere, all of a sudden get ther HIGHEST votes. That is not consistant at all with any of his past performances. So i feel that these were simply Sympathy Votes. I think as such a respected music prducer, Mr. Darbar at that point shouldve been fair and said something himself, that even if Debojit deserved to stay, he certainly did not deserve the Higest votes. I do not think there is a conspiracy going on here by the others to take Mr. D's team out, what happened to him last time was fair. Not all 4 can win. Only one person will win this, and at this point they are all amazing, but it will come down to the best of the best. Unfortunately, one person had to go and i think we will all agree that if we look at the overall talent, from the remaining 4 based on talent and consistancy, Debojit should be gone. This should be based on talent and talent alone, not emotional appeals. So whats fair is fair but i think that little stunt pulled by Mr. Darbar, messed up the fairness process and therefore i think it was overall right for the remaining 3 to take a stand about it. They all come from humble backgrounds, they all have worked very hard, they all have compelling stories that have touched all of our hearts, but we can only vote on talent, i think we should separate emotions from talent and do the right thing.
tareen, It is not the question of whether debo deserve to be in the top 4 or not, he is constantly getting above 70% vote right from the day voting system introduced. [once he was in yellow light that time also he got more than 70% vote from NE ] another thing vinit's UP folks songs his voice also cracked in the high pitch and went out of track, still HR was appreciating with so many certificate like mindbolwing, excellent and what not , he also asked for the anga vastram from vinit.. when HR can repeatedly favour only vinit what is wrong if whole NE support him whether he is singing good or average. The fact remains that regional card plays it role.
Please do not expect a good talent will be in the final as long as public voting is there. only a panel of judge can do the justice, But walk out decision how can they take without giving notice to producer. They have no right to do that, they shd have discussed this matter and sortout behind the scenes. If we encourage their walkout then next challenger 2006 will also repeat this action . even mohd rafi was also rejected first time but he again tried and became the favourite singer of indians. These kids shd have some patience.
Well friends,
Today we witnessed too much HIGH Drama on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 today. Debojit got maximum votes and is in the safe zone. (Congrats to him). He got 80% of the votes today from North East India alone. (Fair Enough)😊
And due to this the remaining three decided to walk out from the show and this triggered some heated debate among the audience and the mentors as well. And the SHOW had to be STOPPED in the middle.
Personally I think walking out of the contest/game was unwarranted by Vineet, Hema & Himani. As none of them was really able to answer properly to the reason "why". Well if its because of "Regional voting" then I have my pity on them cause this is not a new thing.
Whats the point raising it NOW as it is the format of the show to allow Multiple Voting so they cant quit due to this. And if it was planned beforehand and is against Ismail Darbar then why they waited for Debojit to go in the Safe Zone.
There is one more question which comes to my mind. If we are looking for a really genuine results through public votes. If we really feel the best and deserving should win then we should first of all stop "multiple voting" which will encourage many individuals like me who feel that my ONE vote wont make much difference and even the result is not going to be FAIR so why I PUT my money on anyone.
We encourage some serious discussion on this so please do not drop ONE liners or try to deviate from the topic and please be Rational!
Cheers,
Vijay

Hi all,
I just finished watching the Thursday show on the TV and I am deeply confused.
Was this threat of quitting by the three contestants a farce or it is true?
Is it a drama enacted to glue us viewers or is it actually what has transpired?
If it is not a gimmick, then I must say the three contestants and their mentors have truly shown very poor character.
1) Firstly, I would like to comment on Adesh Srivastav's jibe at Debojit's votes.
If he wants to say that 80% of the votes he gained were from the North East.... and that is gross injustice.. thats absolutely a rotten crib. The contestant who scores the maximum number of votes comes first. Period.
Its not the contestant who has the pan-India presence who will come first.Hence his crib of Debojit getting first because he gets 80% from NE India is absolutely childish.
Debojit has always got his maximum votes from the North East. Why has he not cribbed till now?
Adesh, wake up ! You are a mentor and not a competitor. Dont speak like a child who cribs at coming third in the 100m sprint while the guy who came first was taller than him !!! Please learn to appreciate talent !
2) Secondly, if contestants want to walk out, its fine. They deserve to be kicked out. They lack the character to take on pressure and are behaving like a bunch of trade union workers. If at this stage in life they have started applying pressure tactics, they surely dont deserve to move ahead in their chosen profession. They are a bunch of poor losers. I am surprised at the fact that Vinit has the guts to indicate to Mr. Ismail Darbar that he too can judge the quality of the singers. It all seems to be reeking of a drama enacted by the mentors of these competitors. Certainly , this is not expected from a show of this calibre. I have been watching this show since 1997 and I have never felt so let down. I truly feel , that there is a need to stress on character building too within these contestants. Nihira and Paresh, truly were examples of how true winners should behave when they face a losing propostion.
3) Thirdly, Mr Ismail Darbar was right in voicing his opinions. He never put anyone from the rival camps down. He stated his anguish at the less votes Nihira got. He never asked why someone got more votes. He protested to us viewers but not to the mentors or their pupils. I feel he is a man of character and he is a true human being. Himesh is blind in his love for Vinit that he feels he can manipulate us by his silly sentiments and make Vinit the winner. Vinit might truly deserve to be one, but he surely does not need Himesh to be so vocal about it and behave like a cheer-leader.
Lastly, I feel this has been engineered by Himesh and Adesh just to humiliate Ismail Darbar; if this is so, they have lost sight of the aim of the show and made puppets of these three pupils . Hemachandra seemed to be forced into it. The hatred for Debojit which Himesh has routinely displayed is truly obnoxious.
I feel we have robbed Debojit of his day under the sun when he got the highest number of votes.
Perhaps you could involve the best playback singers like Lataji, Asha ji , Kavita Krishnamurthy and eminent musicians to be part of the jury and then select the best contestant. Enough of this SMS voting. I felt truly let down. I have really felt cheated. I wasted my time watching the drama of mutiny of these three contestants.
