All the talk by Adesh and Himesh about how their protege's have 'Acchhe Sanskar' has been laid to rest by this walkout.

Shame on the three of them for staging this walkout, no matter how talented they are. They have totally failed to understand the true spirit of the competition. Why have none of them got overwhelmed when they themselves got the highest votes. Do they imagine that the public voting system worked fairly then, and now, all of a sudden, the public system is a farce?

SHAMESHAME

They have totally disgraced themselves and the show.

And Himesh / Adesh can now pls stop BSing about Achhe Sanskar

Hallo,
Look, no one is aware of the real thing here. There is a big conspiracy. Everything is messed up due to the terrorist organization called ULFA. Havent you read the news also? They have threatened the other three to quit. And they including their parents are keeping mum, to the reporters or anyone who calls them to know the reason of quiting. And all the votes that the Debojit get, is the ULFA's dirty work.
I love Himani with my heart, and only thing I want, is her to be safe from any terror dirt. Vineet and Hemchandra too.
good wishes, see you.

source: wikipedia.org

The ULFA considers itself a "revolutionary political organization" engaged in a "national liberation struggle" against the "occupation by India" for the establishment of a sovereign, independent Assam. It does not consider itself a secessionist organization, as it claims that Assam was never a part of India. It claims that among the various problems that people of Assam are confronting, the problem of national identity is the most basic, and therefore it seeks to represent "independent minded struggling peoples" irrespective of race, tribe, caste, religion and nationality.

========================================

ULFA's main aim is to get Assam liberated. How does Debojit Saha's (a Bengali) winning SA RE GA MA PA have anything to do with their goal?

Btw, you should read the latest Mumbai Mirror article on this controversy. Gajendra Singh himself has defended Debojit against any linkages to the ULFA.

Public Voting. In recent times, the word has lost its meaning. Now it means, vote the person you want as much as you want to make him win… and this SUCKS!!

What can we say… even in elections, some people vote more than once? I'm in my 30s now. I went to vote only once in my life, soon after I was eligible to vote. I was too excited and I went with my Baba and when we reached the booth, we were returned and told that we have already voted. That is the last day I went to vote.

Why do you think that a certain participant in a certain competition who doesn't know Sa Re Ga Ma PA of music wins the competition even after getting low and bad remarks by the judges, who knows better about Music than the public? I think when these votings are taking place, people are not voting for the best INDIAN participant.. but people are taking it as competition between Race and State. I think only people who could have got genuine votes in first few rounds would have been NRI participants but even in later part, we saw certain people asking to vote a person of their Race etc.

Sa Re Ga Ma Pa had been the best musical competition so far in India, no doubt. You can't find better singing talent in any other competition in any other channel. I think the judges should decide on who should win the competition not the public who does not know Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

When Debojit was selected over somebody else for the final round, it was Kumar Sanu who selected him, and I had said.. hmm Bengali Bengali bhai bhai. I thought… the other guy was far better than him. Anyways, Debojit proved me wrong when he started singing better in later episodes.

BUT… last Qawwali episodes… Certainly it was the other three who should have got higher votes than Debojit. It is not FAIR!!

People who do not know music are voting for best singer based on WHAT? It is like people voting in election without knowing what the party stands for or what they mean?

I would say YES.. they did right by walking out. Everybody knows that it is not FAIR so why participate in an UNFAIR COMPETITION!!

If you think Debojit was not good in the qawwalli round thats ur opinion, I am not a bengali and I think he was terrific, when the voting is left to the public- dont you think we should accept the majority votes, else dont have public votes.

Why was there no hue and cry when other talented participants were eliminated and unexperirnced singers were still singing, why didn't we speak out agaist public voting then....when we have reached the finals and someone is garnering good votes-irrespective from where it is why are we shouting and these walkouts? This is just to malign ID and DS by the other two mentors.

Remember something you can never be a good artiste if you are not a good human being....period.

debojit in the qawwali round was terrific. i would request the three singers to sing that song on stage & let all of them be judged by an independent group of music stalwarts, like HPChaurasia, Rashid Khan, Amjad Ali, SKSharma & so on.

pls organisers, dont make a mockery of this show. it has given many singing stars.

From the day when public voting started in Chanllange 2005 I knew this will not give them the best singer as they use to get in the past in sa re ga ma and sa re ga ma pa when great music directors or singers use to come and judge the contestants.

I personally feel that if you ask public to vote then dont expect that they will give you the votes on the basis of sur and taal as all people dont know the depth of music. From the public votes you can find only the person who is most popular or who is overall a good package. To find out who is the most talented singer you should appoint judges who know the real talent.

Also I heard in the shows saying that Guajaritis should vote for Paresh or Assam people will vote for Debijit or Chamba people will vote for Rajeev and so on.... I dont know why this thing was encouraged? Why this state-ism was brought into the discussion??? A true popular person should get vote from all over India.

I liked Fame Gurukul very much becuase there in the show topics like state-ism or religion was never brought and it was all about the fame and they accepted the public votes no matter it was their own choice or not.

Sa re ga ma pa is a game and like any other game the rules are fixed before the game starts. So this should not be an exception also. If Debojit becomes the winner so be it, no one should change the rules(public voting) because it is not doing good to some of the contestants. Let them have different rule for sa re.....2006.

Hey Guys..

I was watching the show from the begining and Debojit was the one who tried to cash in the regional feeling. He made it a point in every show to request votes from North East..

He should have been voted out long time ago..and i beleive the militants from North East threatened Gajendra.

My Choice would be Himani as the Winner and Hema as second. In my view Vinit is a great singer but lost out because he tries to copy Sonu Nigam.Hema's voice is original..

I also felt very bad when Nihira was voted out..

Anyways... walking out was not a good thing..but they might have felt they were not getting the justice...

Thanks ----- Raj

Well friends,

Today we witnessed too much HIGH Drama on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 today. Debojit got maximum votes and is in the safe zone. (Congrats to him). He got 80% of the votes today from North East India alone. (Fair Enough)😊

And due to this the remaining three decided to walk out from the show and this triggered some heated debate among the audience and the mentors as well. And the SHOW had to be STOPPED in the middle.

Personally I think walking out of the contest/game was unwarranted by Vineet, Hema & Himani. As none of them was really able to answer properly to the reason "why". Well if its because of "Regional voting" then I have my pity on them cause this is not a new thing.

Whats the point raising it NOW as it is the format of the show to allow Multiple Voting so they cant quit due to this. And if it was planned beforehand and is against Ismail Darbar then why they waited for Debojit to go in the Safe Zone.

There is one more question which comes to my mind. If we are looking for a really genuine results through public votes. If we really feel the best and deserving should win then we should first of all stop "multiple voting" which will encourage many individuals like me who feel that my ONE vote wont make much difference and even the result is not going to be FAIR so why I PUT my money on anyone.

We encourage some serious discussion on this so please do not drop ONE liners or try to deviate from the topic and please be Rational!

Cheers,
Vijay

I didn't write he was not good in Qawali rounds. Please read before you comment. I only wrote:

Whoever posted that Debojit was good in Qawwaali round has no music sense..the other three were brilliant and even Ismail was not happy with Debojit singing..
