Boy talk about Ego. Lataji had the biggest ego possible. She wanted Royalty for the songs she sang. Rafi disagreed saying that singers are doing Sadhana, not a 'job'. She didn't sing with him from then on for quite a long time. She had a similar tiff with Burman Da. She stopped singing for him too, for six years. You read her interviews...ego aur arrogance kut kut ke bhari hai. It's no secret that she used all her power in the film industry to supress new talent. She did that to even her own sister...but she wasn't very successful. Asha carved a niche of her own. She refused to sing for OP Nayyar saying he wasn't
