Nihira : To me Nihira is a perfect playback material. She has got tremendous control over sur, taal etc. Very sweet voice with lots of musical expressions in her singing etc etc and what else is needed?

I am very sorry to say but some members over here are not considering her talent but just go on abusing her nature which has nothing to do with her musical talent. And may be this is what people in India are considering in her and voting and there she lacks where she is getting less votes. Otherwise there is no problem in her talent...........

So according to me her strength is that she is the best among other contestants and sings to the best of her ability but her only weakness is public who is giving her less votes. Otherwise Judges had given her maximum green cards and mentors had given her maximum perfect 10s.

One thing I dont understand, when this is a singing competition (title itself says: sa re ga ma pa) why people expect to perform. Here I think they are hunting for playback singer and not a performer like INDIAN IDOL. This saregamapa is a sur for singing and not for dancing...............

himani is truly versatile..we have himani in sunidhi chauhan's mould and nihira has a sweet voice like shreya ghosal..sunidhi gets more songs than shreya and every one of her songs is a hit..so am sure the public knows who to vote for..Himani it is !!

I agree with you queen bee. A real music lover will definitely go for Nihira and nihira only. A music experienced person knows what is sur, taal and rhythm and after seeing Nihira's performance a person who is experienced gets amazed to see her singing. He will definitely go for Nihira.

Firstly,I'd like to put up 2 questions-

Does Himani's voice have more sweetness than Nihira's?

Whose voice has more feminity and originality to it?

Basically,the deserving contestant can be judged from the two questions.Also,just because Nihira lives in Mumbai doesn't mean that she'll get more chances or just because Himani lives outside Mumbai doesn't mean you have to get her to Mumbai by making her win this competition.The winner should be decided on their ability and not sympathy.

Hi all, I dont want to argue unnecessorily with comment of others on the two girls.Wat i personally feel,being a regular viewer of SRGMPC and also being a true music lover is:
1. SaReGaMaPa challenge 2005 is a musical hunt for the best playback singer.And not for Best performer or Best effortless singer or Mr/Miss personality or.... etc etc.Taking this into consideration the deserving female candidate is NIHIRA JOSHY .100 %
2. The winner should be, i think an all rounder..in singing..thatz he/she should be able to do justice with all kinda songs..be it classical,light ,....To make it clear he/she shouldnt be a categorized singer,even if they are the no.1 in that particular category.From this point of view also ,deserving candidate is NIHIRA JOSHY.100 %

I do agree dat Himani is a very deserving candidate becoz she is best in herself,But not when it comes to Nihira.This is not at all a matter of getting chances by their virtue of their living in mumbai or faridabad or like dat..Himani has improved a lot ..a lot from the past and she is giving a very gud work and raising her bar on each and every episode...She is very effortless and has got an attracting personality...She recieves a very high level appreciation from both the mentors as well as the janatha...these all are facts and i do agree withall these...these are actually positive points in her singing.And now coming to negative points , eventhough she sings brilliantly and is also gud at high pitches,she lacks voice quality.Her voice is not truly feminine.She lacks the power in her voice ..i mean sharpness.....These negative points doesnt come into role when considering "todays kinda filmi music"...aaj kal ke jo sangeet hote hai...she perfectly suits to dat..just like sunidhy chouhan...And will get much more oppurtunities....
But when it comes to gud music ,quality singing NIHIRA is the best and willbe the best...That is a fact dat has been proved many atimes on many episodes...No matter she is nervous or bad performer or getting less number of votes....but these all are not the factors needed to analyse the two girls when it comes to the final round.
Of coursethe ppl will go for Himany after seeing her flawless performance and gud personality...may be she gets the highest no.of votes for 2 or 3 or 4 or till the end of the show....HIMANI IS A CATEGORIZED SINGER...This is the fact...She selects songs of her kind only...To make doodh ka doodh aur pany ka pany...just eliminate the public voting and give it to versatile judges..or give the same song to the two.....One example is Hare rama hare krishna song sung by Nihira...ask Himany to sing dat...the Result will be clear ...

And finally i will not be the least surprised if Himany takes away the challenge and beat Nihira in the finals..coz the whole trend of voting and the viewers mentality is going like dat...But if Saregamapa is a true challenge for playback singing Nihira Joshy should be the winner..otherwise ..as per jatinji lalit jis ."ye music aur judgement ka har" hogy.
I wish all the best for Nihira Joshy..if she dont win this challenge...den doesnt matter...the ultimate win will be for u Nihira.We the whole kerala viewera are with u.GOD BLESS
