From the first viewing, I was mesmerised by the voices of Hemachandra and Himani. Hemachandra's voice is so so good, I felt that he just shouldnt stop singing. And Himani singing "Baras Jaa" - so supple voice quality.
I agree... there is definitely something unique in both Himani and Hemachandra's voices.
I personally think Himani has an unconventional voice and multifaceted talent, and I like female singers with strong voices (like Aditi Paul in Indian Idol 1). Himani's voice is different from traditionally "sweet" singers like Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghosal, Sadhana Sargam, etc… Himani's voice is rich and powerful, tremendous throw, and yet at the same time she makes it look totally effortless…
Hemachandra also has a unique style and deep voice…
I don't really care if either of them wins this popularity contest, rigged or whatever, but I do hope to hear them sing a lot more in the future…
