Here in India if we see some guy hugging or touching a girl we take it otherwise. We take it as something is wrong and we question the character of the persons concerned. If some boy or girl moves around the town together it will become a talk of the town.

The video posted above is where they were practising a duet song and they had to act as channel wanted to show how they tried to create the feel in the duet song. The video with Manish was a natural reaction by Sniti which all can see.

Other girls like Sugandha, Abhilasha , Mampee, Shreyasi and Dipanwita were open to one act or another but Sniti is not for sure.

India is India and we are in India so we believe in Indian traditions and we love and respect our traditions.

Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder. Sniti or Rini or other never thought what you are thinking. They behaved according to where and how they are growing up. Even Manish may not be knowing what will you think because he has been in showbiz for long. Sniti belongs to small place in Orissa, let her stay couple of years in Mumbai she will adapt to hugging, kissing like other do. Big question in my mind is, editor edits so many thing why did not he edit this embarassing moment for Manish. Directors are hungry for this kind of moment.

It's her perogative whether she wants to be touched or not, but some people make it out as if being touched by a guy is akin to being stripped, not all touching is sexual/vulgar!

It's got nothing to do with her being concious of Indian culture, she just isn't comfortable with such antics infront of a large audience due to her shy and timid nature.

What's wrong with a guy and a girl simply hugging?, the country loves to watch romantic movies, it's all good in the movies, but not in real life?, bit hypocritical, what about Radha Krishna and the Gopis?, part of Indian culture, no?

You know, one of my non-desi friend ask about Indian movies etc, I gave him DVD of Indian songs to watch which had english caption, after watching whole DVD he asked me what are the ratings for these songs. I said good for everybody, he said WOW, amazing... he said atleast 50% songs should be PG rated.

I agree with you, may be Rini was not the best but she sang well on the show. It needs guts of life to try those classic songs. If she did that means she had urge to do something right.

Sniti is too nice and very conscious about her Indian culture and in yesterday's episode Manish the host wanted to touch her to check her biceps and Sniti just moved back pushing aside Manish.Even in the AV before her performance yesterday she was speaking like Ali Sher Bhaiya.

Sniti my salute to you. You are not like other girls who do anything to move forward.

You may be eliminated but you will not be forgotten.
