TRP TRP TRP for this thread now! 😆

Anyways I respect Himesh sir. 😳 So sad that most don't though!

So maana ke his voice isn't THAT great, but it surely isn't the worst. In some places in this song I felt he was screaming rather than singing. It wasn't all so bad, but there was A LOT of room for improvement. There could have been a lot more variations that he could have used to improve the quality of the song. He did try his best to utilize his voice to his best potential but unfort. fell a bit short. I wasn't able to connect so much with his singing for this song.

Final Rating: 6/10

The selection commitee is cheap and accepts bribes? And you're saying not just one of them, but many do in the same year for the same singer? Looks like Himesh was the richest man in India. 😆

This is the same Filmfare selection comittee that gave awards to:

2009: Sukhwinder Singh
2008: Shaan
2007: Shaan
2006: Himesh
2005: Kunal
2004: Sonu Nigam
2003: Sonu Nigam
2002: Udit Narayan

So this committee is corrupt? Guys like Shaan, Sonu, Udit, Sukhwinder, all really didn't deserve their awards but all just won because of bribes? 😆
Or is committee stupid? They give it to singers that don't deserve it like Himesh, Sonu, and Shaan?

Or is it just that YOU have a problem with Himesh's singing, and the committee is the committee and make a good choice year after year. That sounds the most logical. If not, explain why they would accept bribes from Himesh, and no other singer in their history. And explain how its just a coincidence you also don't like Himesh. And explain why would they want to ruin their name and give it to someone who they think isn't even CLOSE to getting the award. And explain how he got nominated in every major award show for his singing. Himesh the super-billionaire bribed everybody???

LOL, you see there's a problem. Himesh stands out a,ong these fantastic singers. Even cacophonic singers like Atif ain't there, and he has a much larger fan base than Himesh...so that's really surprising how this fool could get an award. Yes, I have a problem with his singing, so does everyone else, why do you care? Because Himesh must've had contacts, after all, we know nothing about his past history, and the commitee changes, get the facts right before talking...

Exactly. Atif has a huge fan base. So does Himesh. Has Atif gotten an award? No. So popularity and huge fan base isn't enough. It takes SINGING to win Filmfare playback SINGER of the year not just popularity. And Atif here proves it.

So now you are making a claim about Himesh having more contacts, and power in the committee than any other singer in bollywood history, WITHOUT any proof. Pull that claim out of your ass? Try again.

I understand logic is not your favorite subject. But still you can try logically explaining how Himesh could possibly bribe every award committee to 1st nominate him, and then make the most prestigious give him the award. Is he the most powerful singer of all-time? Where did he get that power? Also explain how big of a coincidence it is that you bring up these "conspiracy" theories to the singers YOU don't like. And you think that don't deserve it.

At the end of the day debayon, you can make up as many illogical and non-supported theories as you want, but the fact is, Himesh won and deserved playback singer of the year just like everyone else who won it.

LOL
The filmfare magazine chooses the nominees. And the PUBLIC votes to select the winner! There is no full time, professional jury of musicians!
Anyway, RA's bakbak machine ssk will continue ranting...
3/10 from me.

This statement is funny

We don't know anything about his past history? 😆😆
He was a MD before a singer. We do know his past. And if he was so powerful, why didn't he ever get many MD awards? 😆

And committee changes? Its not just 1 award show he won. He won from multiple. They all had committee changes? 😆

Seriously, these are the stupidest things I've heard.

So Himesh was nominated by all prestigious award shows tells us how good he sang. If you truly think he is a bad singer then explain why everyone nominated him. And IIFA does not have public votes deciding winner. Himesh won from there. I don't think Filmfare does either (at least in 05), but I might be wrong on that.

I think he's a bad singer.
Everyone nominated him because his songs were a big hit.
You like him - thats fine by me.
Listening to Aaja Mahiya by Udit and Anu! 'Ek noorse aankhen chaunk gayi!'

A lot of Atif's songs are a hit. He is popular. Tell me when he got nominated everywhere and won.

Oh wait it takes more than popularity and hit songs to get nominated and win??? 😲
Isn't that strange xobile. It takes more than popularity/hit songs to win singing awards. Because it takes SINGING to win SINGING awards. So strange right?

Himesh won it from Filmfare, the same way Shaan, Sonu, and Udit did. All of them are worthy winners they all won the same way and for not just hit songs, but also for singing.

himesh is the exception that disproves the rule, the rule being 'only good singers get the filmfare and iifa awards'.
other than himesh, both these functions have mostly awarded highly deserving people the award. alhough mohit won it too, so they are a bit hit and miss.
anywayy
time to listen to 'ho nahin sakta' by uditji and anu :D

Here are what some sigers have to say about Himesh:
It's easy to criticise someone for singing through his nose. Who sets the rules for how a song should be sung? Times are changing. Different voices are coming and being accepted. With Himesh at least a distinctive voice from within the country has found acceptance.

Otherwise we've lately had strange voices from outside, no matter how besura, becoming successful. Pataa nahin kyon ! Why do we give so much importance to voices from outside? Stars dine with them, feature in their bloody music videos. They wouldn't do the same for me or any Indian singer.
Himesh Reshamimiya is pretty big on the music scene as well.
Himesh is a great composer. I don't rate him as a good singer and I don't think he does so either. If he rates himself as a great singer then he is lying to himself. But as a composer he is great and he deserves the success that he is getting today.
So, you are saying that you know more about singing than Sonu Nigam ji himself? Like seriously, where do you regurgitate this shit from, eh?
