In recent times touchwood I have not crashed my computers for over two years now. I used to crash it a lot when I used to use Kazaa and Limewire. I do not use those anymore.

Although, I have managed to crash my computer at work twice. 😆

Recently one of my friend's HDD's hardware crashed (too old). There is some hardware fault in it and it is a failed HDD now making "click of death" sounds. There is no chance of data recovery from "simple" methods. Lots of photos lost, etc.

In coming days, I will seal that HDD in an airtight plastic and put it in the freezer. I have heard that freezer trick works sometimes.

Hmm freezer trick. Never heard of it. I'll have to keep it in mind. I have an old HP media center I was hoping to refurbish. It worked fine for a bit, then hummed, then buzzed then 'click of death'. No data to recover really, just get he disk running. Recovery disks and boot disks don't seem to work. Its just lying on my floor now with no home or purpose.

Hardware is not my forte. The UW continued education has a build your own PC at home course, I've been meaning to take that. Someday, I want to build my own PC with uber cool mods.

Its not easy for me to make you sad. I even know ways to piss you off big time. But I don't want you to be mad at me either. So you need to think of something.
