what is the aim of SRGMP?

SAREGAMPA CHALLENGE 2005, a unique platform for all talented aspiring singers platform to become singing sensations of tomorrow. All of them who regard Mohammad Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhansle, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan etc as their idols and would like to follow in their footsteps. This much needed platform has been created by Zee TV's SAREGAMAPAChallenge 2005, which is the highest level of competition for singers, where aspiring singers will compete with one another in front of our four MAGICAL MENTORS from Bollywood. The "HERO" and the "HEROINE", the winners of SAREGAMAPA CHALLENGE 2005, will win grand prizes that they have only dreamt of.

So I understand that the show is all about a singer and his singing abilities. If they expect that participants who are contesting should follow the footsteps of greats like Rafi, Kishore, Lata etc. then it sould focus on only singing abilities. Why did they confuse people by mixing performance round and costumes etc.?

They claim that it is the highest level of competition for singing. And yet they ask them to dance and perform. Is that not a contradiction. Can someone imagine Lata, Rafi or Mukesh dancing and singing together, if they had to start in this age? Kishore Kumar was an exception, he would have won this competiotin with thumping margin.

What you guys have felt about the aim of this show?

I think we should write our views to Zee Tv people. What do they think that they'll show us anything and we'll just swallow. I always watched this show deligently for past many years starting from when Sonu Nigam was the host. But now the way they are moving.... sorry to say but they'll destroy the show.

Instead of getting a good caliber singer like Rafi and Lata we may end up getting a Pop Singer like.... leave it.... can't even remember worth mentioning any names.

If one guy and one gal gets booted each time - then I feel that following sequence would be appropriate

IF looking for playback singer (as portrayed by the SRGMP challenge in the beginning):

1st boot: Rajeev and Twinkle

2nd boot: Paresh and Raktima

3rd boot: Debojit and Ujjaini

4th boot : Sharib and Swananda

5th boot : Vineet and Himani

Winner: Hemachandra and Nihira

However, since they have opened it to Public voting, its going to be performance and looks not the right singer. So these are my predictions:

1st boot: Rajeev and Swananda

2nd boot: Sharib and Raktima

3rd boot: Debojit and Nihira

4th boot : Vineet and Ujjaini

5th boot : Hemachandra and Himani

Winner: Paresh and Twinkle

Truly said, even I hate to see Twinkle or Paresh winning over Nihira or Hema just because of performance. These two contestents have very good voice quality and it shows how much they have practiced.
Once one mentor made comment while Salman was there, when Salman said "he cannot sing". I think it was JL, he said "you don't need to know since now we have machines". What kind of message they were sending on this programme?

Its a site exclusively for saregamapa 2005. Also there are feedbacks from viewers .

Earlier i had written a mail to zeetv customercare ,expressing disgust and dissapointment when they brought the humpanch team during one iof the episodes.I got an automated reply from customercare confirming the receipt of the same and they also sent me gajendra singh's email. I forwarded him an email too. No reply to that mail, hope the email is valid and he reads all the mails.

Yes Paresh and Twinkle are very good. But there are better than them also.

I totally agree with all of you. This is what I want to say that I hate seeing beuty winning over singing....well lets see what happens. May be the public will vote with lots of thinking and the excellent singers get the chance to win...hope for the best....

If Raktima gets voted out after her superb performance in the first round finals, we can only imagine that Twinkle might actually end up winning the title! Somehow the way things are going I am losing my interest in the show! Very disheartening!
