Paresh’s Fate - Page 2

I think people are taking this discussion to all different directions Here is what I have to say:

THE FACT: Paresh stands a good chance to win C2005 for the various reasons listed here.

THE ARGUMENT: Based PURELY on his singing skills (voice quality, mastery over sur, ability to carry songs of different genre well), is Paresh the best (for film playback) amongst all the finalists?

THE TEST: Have Paresh and all others record songs of different genre and send the recordings to 5 eminent judges of Shiv-ji/Hari-ji/Jasraj-ji's calibre WHO DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE SINGERS. Have them independently rate each of the 6 finalists. Avarage out the ratings.

THE ASSUMPTION: All singers sing their songs in perfect diction.

THE QUESTION: Would Paresh even come in top 3?

THE ANSWER: (in my opinion) A RESOUNDING "NO"!!!!!! (he may come in last 2)

So getting back to the reason why SRGMP put together this contest -- to select and crown the best playback singer -- Has SRGMP achieved their purpose? The answer again is -- A RESOUNDING "NO"!

Now for the Paresh's fans:

Is Paresh the most handsome contestant: Without any doubt!
Is Paresh the best dancer: Absolutely!
Is Paresh the best performer: For Sure!
Does he deserve a credit for reaching to this stage (given his background): Yes!
Has his singing improved a lot since the prelim. round: Yes!
Has his diction improved a lot since the prelim. round: Absolutely!
Has his Hindi improved a lot since the prelim. round: Dramatically!

And finally -- Is he a heartthrob of the girls: ❤️ ❤️ !!!!
Would I have a crush on him if I were a girl: ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ !!!!!

Do all of the above make him THE BEST singer?-- A RESOUNDING "NO"! again !!!!

Paresh is good enough to reach where he already has ( some may agree or disagree ) ..but ..hez not good enough to win the finals based on singing abilities !!

Well its not that ki all indian girls like him but see he has screen presence and they wont have to work on his personality cuz its perfect
everyone wants talent as well as personality
n i dont think hes that bad at singin but he has presence that make ppl look at him

I totally disagree with the opinion that Paresh deserved the winning. In what way? his singing is average or below average. His sur is out of order 30-40% of the time.He lacks the ability to sing with any alap or gamaka which is very much required in singing. He has not been a trained singer, and cannnot make it up now. Singing is a sadhana, and takes a lot of years to acheive it. Just because Paresh is cute with his accent etc, does NOT mean that he sings good. In conclusion I agree with the saying that Sa re ga ma pa has become a modelling competion, not a singing one! we may see more Arjun Rampal's and Salman Khan's winning the Challenge 2006 rather than excellent, trained singers such as Abijeet or Hemachandra. This is extremly sad, because sa re ga ma pa has losts it originality ,and the goal it stood for;bring out excellent fresh singing talent to the world. Please be aware of this producers and directors of sa re ga ma pa!

Mr rat 718. it is very unfair remark on paresh that he is a performer but not a good singer. on the contrary I feel he learned to perform [along with singing] after seeing his collegues how they perform.It appears he is not comfortable in performing rather he enjoys singing like nihira joshi. have u seen her performance. twinkle performs well but nihira tries to perform where as her body language appears to be she is not comfortable in performing. compared to hemchander, rajeev, vinit, aishwarya, debojit performance paresh performance was not upto their level but this time time he tried to perform probably at the advise of his mentors.

as far as personality is concerned that is god's gift to him he looks very smart compared to others. but he too sings well . he has prooved that yesterday [singing a song of a r rehman;s] . himeshji and other mentors praised him . yesterday his performance was superb than others. sharib and rajeev 's performance were so so may be bcos of the slection of the songs were not good. but to my surprise rakthima's song was top compared to others.we cannot under estimate paresh that he is average or below average. pl go through the web site www.saregamapa.sifymax.in and listen to his song husn wale tera jawab nahin sung by mohd rafi. it is very difficult song , i am sure u will change your opinion on him. but as u said i too agree that this public voting is not good trend which benefits the telphone dept, they r getting good revenues. and chances of injustice to the good singer's talent will go waste
