Himesh says I think it's just destiny that we haven't been able to work together. I'm sure we'll do an album together soon.
angelic2005 asks What inspires you when composing music and how do you continue with the flow ? Do you ever hit a dead end when composing and feel you cant get inspired? How do you find a solution? What made you finally decide to sing on the Aashiq Banaya Aapne album
Himesh says God is my biggest inspiration. Music cannot be successful by talent alone. Music is a divine profession and success is finally in the hands of god. With Aashiq Banaya Aapne, I wanted to prove that even today's composer can give melody.
angelic2005 asks you go on and on about ashwariya so much, does this mean you may consider him in one of your albums in the near future?
Himesh says Yes, surely. I will do that. I was very upset at the injustice done to Aishwarya. That was like an lbw decision by the judges.
angelic2005 asks You was once a television producer for zee tv and also writer for serials how did this lead to becoming a music director?
Himesh says Music is in my genes. I was just waiting for the right break -- and I got it, thanks to Salman Khan. I didn't want to start off with a small film, and I'm indebted to Salman for the break. I still do serial production.
angelic2005 asks So how multi talented are you? Will there be more surprises in store in the future?
Himesh says I keep trying to be creative, That's what finally matters. At the moment, there's only music, music and music. But later, I might venture into other fields.

Himesh says My favouite is Aashiq Banaya Aapne. I think Aishwarya has a fair chance of coming back.

Himesh says The remix trend will survive so long as music is alive. Because the youth are behind the trend. Those who rubbish remixes don't know the pulse of the market. 95 per cent of those who buy albums are below 25 -- and they're the ones who determine market trends. Also, it's not correct to say that remixes don't have a good melody. Some of RD's songs, and even mine -- like Bardaasht -- have turned out great.

Himesh says I wanted to prove that today's music directors too can focus on melody. It's the biggest song in last 10 years-- in terms of ringtones and sales. I worked hard, but like I alway say, God has the final say, and he's been kind to me.

Himesh says I love to do romantic songs because I feel situational songs don't work any more. Today's music directors must also be able to turn out music that will sell.

Himesh says Aishwarya has a more contemporary voice, but Dilshad feels the song better. Both are equally good. It's just that I felt that injustice was done to Aishwarya

Himesh says They deserve it. It's very difficult to choose between them. I've already given Vinit a break. With these singers, I can do contemporary kind of songs. It will not work if young people follow Rafi or Kishore saab, they have to be able to sing for today's heroes/heroines.

Himesh says I pray and try to feel the mood of the song. I always prefer to do romantic songs.

Himesh says The songs in Tere naam were fully based on raag. I've learnt classical music, but I'm always trying to give it a contemporary touch that will appeal to the youth.
