Hi Guys!

Its good to see the solidarity in the new posts. Anyway, guys I wanted to inquire whether my favourite singer, Vishwas has got any offers for playback singing or not. I wish he would make it big - he reminds me a lot of Udit Narayan - and also has charisma on stage. Please do let me know if you guys have any information about him...I think out of all the contestants, if I had to buy these guys' albums, I would buy Hemachandra's, Vishwas', Nihira's and Raktima's.

The winner now is going to depend on how many sms can come from your region...I think Gujrati's are good at it compared to Bihar..(See who won between Paresh and Aishwariya)I am not saying every body is going to vote for their own region but it is going to be a big factor..you have to have a personality to woo your region..My guess is Paresh has a very good chance to win for the above stated reasons and his foreign background and love for Hindi songs helps him all the more..
Among girls I think girl from Kolcutta, Ujjaini has a good chance..She is from Kolcutta, school girl who dropped an year, knows how to impress without overacting..looks innocent...can be a good performer.....My second choice is Hemchandra and Nihira if every thing is on merit..but that is not gonna happen.

I had been busy with FG forum since according to me the formating of FG was not correct as compared to srgmp.

The srgmp format has been designed in such a way that all the contestants have been given enough opportunity and exposure to portray their talent and only after methodical training by their Gurus, stiff rounds, judged by the best judges in rotation, have we got the final contestants for Agnipariksha, which again is an elimination round.
Srgmp has reached that stage now, where we have the best of the singers and at this stage, even if we leave the selection to Junta, it makes no big difference who comes to the top or not.
Had the public been allowed to vote right from beginning, we wont have got the quality singers that we have now in Agnipariksha.
After all, its the public which makes a SINGER or breaks one.No matter what, we already have the best of the whole lot...so let the Junta decide now who they want.

I do not agree...In the Agnipariksha round according to me Sanchali was better than Ujjaini and Joyeeta. Some people may differ..but Sanchali got only 6% vote where as Ujjaini got 19%.The difference is rather high.Similarly it was close between Paresh and Aishwarya.Paresh got 30% whearas Aishwarya ggot only 11%.Indication of things to come

I just hope that people vote on merit.. they should not even vote on their individual favourites but rather on who was better on the given day... Say, I am a big Sharib fan, but I definitely think that HemChandra, Vinit and even Paresh were better than him on 11/11.. may be Sharib did not select a correct song, but who asked him not to? So, I will rather vote for the other guys than Sharib.. If someone has done better, they should get the reward..

Well said. I liked the way you proved your point. These statistics are definitely an indication of things to come tomorrow.

I think the Mentometer is a good idea.. The mentors are definitely knowledgeable about music and they have seen these singers over past few months.. definitely they need to guide the audience by giving their opinion on the singing on that day.. otherwise the audience would simply vote by their own individual preferences which might not have anything to do with the singing on that day..
But on the whole I noticed that the mentors were not very critical of the performances. True, we have all the good singers at this stage, but the mentors have a 4 green to most of the singers although some of them slipped at some places.. Think they need to be more strict on the gradation for sending a more powerful message across to the audience..

I was pretty disappointed with Paresh, Dilshad being given an opportunity in the Bramhastra round. Better contestants such as Irfan and Vishwas were relegated to the sidelines. Time and again Darbar was talking about Niladri. I felt Irfaan has a better voice than Niladri and for that matter Dilshad and Paresh. Sallu bhai had was pretty partial to Paresh while Aishwarya had done a gr8 job with his songs (I will keep the comments about the leather outfits to myself). Ujjani's performance lacked lustre on the first day before her rendition of Gela Gela b4 Salman. I heard the original by Adnan and was not very impressed by it. I agree she put a lot of energy in it and had the crowds pretty much in the palm

Sanchali did a gr job but apparently it seems that it was not much appreciated. And coming to Joyeeta (forget her TV histrionics), she has a gr8 range. She has rendered some of the most difficult songs during crunch time. I felt she got a raw deal when Daler was the judge. It was pretty irritating to hear Daler point out the number of times they went out of tune, not taking into account the level of difficulty.

Anyway hope Gajendra in his quest for better ratings not loose sight of the objective of the program is to bring out a good singer vs a good all round performer.

I saw the Salman Khan special episode yesterday in UK.
This programme is going downhill at great speed.
The way HR, ID and Jatin were going gaga over Salman reminded me of the rally lead by the film industry people in Sanjay Dutt's support while he was incarcerated in the prison under TADA( eventually TADA was rendered toothless because of this incident).
However good deeds Salman may do, a person with credentials like him shouldn't be invited to shows like this. I think the next guest would be Sanjay Dutt.....
People like them reinforce this notion, whatever crime you do if you are rich & powerful, one is beyond law.
