We are far behind in middle east.I missed the Diwali episode and was watching the repeat a while back.My husband who is not too involved in Sa Re Ga MA PA instantly commented that it is becoming like Sony(FG).

When they showed Dilshad singing he commented again that it was like real Sa Re Ga Ma Pa

Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma and Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia have been the best judges so far.They are renouned classical musicians ;have been successful music directors.They always ecourage participants yet they are firm and fair in the judgement.

Mr Gajendra Singh please take notice

I think HR is smart..He knows public is more after personality and looks ...so he chose Paresh...and now Paresh in his gharana..who knows public may put him into the finals..Personally I think there are good singers like vishwaas, niladari, abhijeet sitting on the side lines..but they have good exposure now and I am sure each of them is going to get a break..Any ways the sa re ga ma people are making good use of all the controversies and have been able to sell their product 😃

If at all you need SMS revenue and audience partipants, they should have options like audience choice and give the couple voted by the audience something less than the actual winner. Also, they can give a reward to someone from audience whose choice became the actual winner or something of that sort. There are creative ways of getting revenue than diluting original philosophy. SRGMP failed miserably at this.

I can lay a bait Nihira & Swananda will not make it big now on this show, their chances have been slimmed by rules of Lord Gajendra. Paresh is bound to make it to top 3.
Having said this I strongly believe that only Nihira & alikes will be successful as play back singers, eventually when it would come back to recording a song, all music directors will ensure their job in future remains intact, be it ID r anyone...
My opinion only.

I too watched the programme... Rajiv was not at all good.... HR mentioned that this is a wrong choice of sng for him but AS tried to justify saying that Rajiv can sing the same in a very high pitch... But no one looked convinced...

Much expected Vinit did not give his best, his voice was shallow. But all the mentors praised him... They say he is copying HR in all... I hope that he will not end up singing like HR 😉

The theme was "AR Rehman Songs"

This time they brought a system of Mentor scaling the contestant of other gharanas with a vertical light blocks scale. When the mentor presses a button given to him, the scale increases. I guess all the mentors were playing safe in giving the rating for the singers of other gharanas.

To me

In Girls - I missed Raktima singing.... So, Not considering her Twinkle performed better and Swananda Sang well.

In Boys - Debo performed well... Hemachandra was too good singing and a fair performance... I dont know abt Accent... waiting for Priti's comments (pmahesh) as I cannot judge abt Accent... But I could see that he has just sang the way Udit sang.... But man... believe me and try to observe the following in his singing

1) The MIC sense - I could see he is the only person who balance his voice output to the MIC according to the various Ranges of the song.
2) The Modulations he has sung at many places with ease.
3) Making all the mentors pleased all the time. I am sure all other mentors would have atleast thought ONCE why HEM was not into their Gharana... Jatin told that he wants to turn the Red coloured lights into green and give him a full Green scaling / rating.
4)The low / High range of the song was too good.

Definitely to mention, AS said that he was not giving him the hype (thats how I could translate in English) the way he was giving for Rajiv. But he assured that he will give chance to HEMACHANDRA for ALL SONGS in his one movie...

HR was still (everytime) mentioning about Shri SPB to divert the attention of JANTA. The song from Dil se was sung by Udit Narayan and I could not see any relavance i n HR's statement.

SRGMP reminds me of Indian cricket team of late 80s when they used to win against Pakistan as exception than rule and we used to watch each time even though we knew that it is going to be again a disappointing experience at the end of the day! Why they have changed the format? What was the need? Was the viwership shrinking down as compared to FG? Only Gajendra knows why he had to go for this cheap route of SMS voting!

sorry to disagree with everybody, but I think its okay if SRGMP is experimenting with this formet. I mean, come'on for last 10-11 years they have been doing this by the old way, calling judges and declaring winner etc. SO if this time they comeup with some new formet its fine.. afterall they are experimenting and experiments need not to be always satisfied for everyone.
And this is not end of life or end of careers for those who didn't win, so why everyone is getting so concerned?
all the participents are getting enough expouser and whosoever is really talented will definely make it big. and already many on them are getting a chance to sing in some of the MD's movies, and thats what everyone wants, right?Then why to make such a big fuss

I do remember Zee's cinestar ki khoj, there also only two were the winner's but see many of others are also getting their breaks.. for eg, yuvika, gargi, Loveleen, Abaas, naman.. they all lost in earlier rounds but they are in their field now

And for SRGMP, as long as people are enjoying the show its ok...
and public voting is the only way they can earn money for this show, and ofcourse money is definetely needed to make these type of talent hunt shows..

So everyone please enjoy and let others enjoy too
