a show requires two ingredients, villains and heroes.

If all good singers reach the top, there 'd be no villains and without villains, maza kahaan aata hai boss?😆

However the fact of the matter is that when you see people all around you using TRP tricks,etc and doing well, then there will be a lot of apprehensions before you make up your mind to run a "clean" show devoid of any such antics.

Moreover, these stunts are more like easy shortcuts to TRPs for which we all fall one time or the other. Once we don't fall for them or pay much attention to these antics and more to the talent, singing, etc everything falls into place. After all who are the shows catering to? we the people only right?
