The kids sang Shaan's favorite songs. So this list must have been provided to the kids who'd have then practiced it for a week. So would it not be Alka's job as a judge to make she has heard the songs at least once. How can she judge a song if she does not even know how the original song sounds. How would she know what harkats the kid has taken and if the child sang it correctly.

And yeah, not everyone watches every movie that comes out, or buys every CD of every movie that comes out. And plus this song wasn't even promoted. The producers couldn't get past mauja hi mauja when the movie came out. Kisi ko kya sapna aayega ki itna achchha gaana usi movie mein hai?

and how could shaan not know the song, he sung in that movie! not to mention, the director of jab we met was on the show the week before, and they pretty much talk about jab we met all the time, and she hasn't heard of the song!?! i don't believe that for one second
