shaan rocks with the little wonders!!!!

shaan who had opted out of zee tv's sa re ga ma pa, after there aroused creative differences between the channel and the ex - management, was more than happy to return to the show as a special judge in the coming two episodes. an emotional shaan confessed that he always wanted to return to but couldn't due to his close friendship with the ex - team. he said that it's an honour for him to return to the best singing competition in the country and is very impressed with the amazing talent that the nation has witnessed through the show. shaan said, whenever a competition started, he though probably this was the last one as no one could sing better than this lot. but he still stands amazed to where such talents arise from?

apart from the talented participants at the sets of "hero honda sa re ga ma pa l'il champs 2009", the ones who made a deep impact on our special judge, shaan, were the young hosts, afsha and dahirya. shaan was so impressed with the tiny tots that he kept starring at them in amazement whenever the hosts delivered their anchor links or interacted with the participants. shaan admitted that when he use to host on the same platform he use to take much longer to by - heart his links and use to spend much more time with the creative team. shaan said that the younger generation is definitely much faster and smarter and afsha and dhairya are truly l'il wonders.

alka yagnik narrated an incident - when she was about fifteen years old, west bengal's great musician, manas mukherjee, had offered her playback singing for a song. while alka was practicing at his place, she saw a small kid peeping at her from behind the curtains. when she asked manas who he is, manas said "that's my son, shantanu". a couple of years later, alka was asked to do a playback with manas's son, shantanu.

alka was surprised that such a young boy is going to sing with her but at the end of the song, she was amazed with his talent. summing up alkaji's narration, abhijeetda indicated that the entire credit for shaan and his sister sagarika's success ideally goes to their mom who has brought them up so well after shaan's father passed away at an early age.

listening to this, an emotional shaan confessed that though we always respect our parents somewhere as we grow up, we tend to forget their sacrifices, generosity and love towards us and now that alkaji and abhijeetda mentioned all of this, he is extremely thankful to the for having reminding him of how great his parents have been.
