I think somebody should just mention that point. She is 8, and somehow I thought she must be 10-11. As a 8 year old, she seems very mature. Her mother seems young and down to earth.overall, I like sheyasi the best. The other fact that amazes me is that she is a state level athlete (runner) and also persuing singing career. It seems she is very well behaved too.somehow the creatives/judges (or whatever) picks out a line or fact and keep on pressing. e.g. about shalini the makeup etc etc, Swarit the bathroom thing, and about antara that she is overweight. I am sure antara or her family does not like that.
In srgmp (adult) the contestants have to provide a list as per Amanat Ali's in one of his interviews. In kids srgmp someone else give the songs not the mentors. I know about Aamir Hafiz he does not like some of the songs, his brother tried to change but they wont change it and he has to sing it.
Hey, good to see you here! Welcome!! 😃
Yes, I had a lot of respect for Kunal when he showed the guts to call Khushi's choreographer and asked them not to make her do adult moves! But by then Khushi had already gotten used to those expressions that she was doing that even when she was talking! I felt sorry for her that her innocence was lost in that aspect... Her mom appeared to be more innocent than her!!
I dont about the dieting part as I didnt pay attention to that talk... But I agree with you that the mentors have a hand in the selection of songs. But I dont think Alka enforces the songs on the contestants - either the singers suggest what they like and she might be picking one for them or she might be suggesting a few songs and they might be picking one... I know that each contestant has to provide a list of song selections to Zee every week and then the channel makes the final pick for each singer. If the singer makes the choices, I am sure the parents can have a hand in the decision before the list is submitted.
Anyway I was even more shocked to hear Yashita sing "I want to make love" song on national TV in the name of the competition!!! 😲 Shalini's zara zara song was a very adult song, and any adult with a sound mind wouldnt have suggested that to a little girl. So if Alka did that, someone should have raised the objection to her... IMHO...
I agree.I thought the judges would point that out..esp abhijeet..but aisa nahi hua 😕Originally posted by: mbharat2007
Shalini's pronounciation is so unclear! Its very difficult to make sense of the wording when she sings!

So the bottom line is neither the parents nor the mentors have anything to do with the song selection.
