No, there have been incidents where the same song was sung more than once on the same show, same season, but by different singers on different days. Zee makes the finl pick to make sure that no two kids sing the same song on the same day.

If the kids are allowed to propose the songs, then obviously they will be making the picks with the help of mentors or parents rather than on their own. I saw in the audition that the parents had a hand in deciding which song should be sung by the kid...

Neh. I'm kind of desensitized to all this. They could sing Britney songs and I could care less, as long as it gets stuck in my head.

The thing with song selection is though, it's a family show, and they should be singing songs which you would be comfortable listening to with your family. so yes, I would not want to hear "I want to make love to you" Anyway, I think Shalini is actually kind of immature which is why she's so into make-up and whatnot...but she'll outgrow it eventually...or she'll enter the fashion industry.

Anyway, I guess the worst won the award :( Her voice is screechy and makes me head hurt the minute she starts singing.

she's not even a good singer, she hasnt sung any song that showcases her singing ability while all the other contestants are trying challenging songs. i think she has some connections with the makers of the show because she does no deservs the standing ovations or the champ of the week things she has gotten, she is too nasal, and there are way better singers on the show. dont know wuts wrong with the judgess😕

Just finished watching the show , and I am really 😲 to see how special visual effects , standing ovation and what not given to below average singing !!!

Is this a joke ??

Champ of the day is between Shalini and Abhijeet , Abhijeet was too good singing wise, He totally deserved Champ award today,
Script writer doesnt even know what they are writing and whats the reality !!! Shaan said we are judging singing here and finally he said if we look at the age, Shalini is only 8 so she deserves it !!! totally unfair !!! 😔

Abhijeet was certainly the deserving one today.

How can Alka Yagnik , who is one of the most decently dressed celebrities , allow such irritating attire for a kid ? On top of that, she applauds all that . Overall, very disgusting to see overblown expressions and average singing. Look at Priyanka and most of the others who are trying to add variety to their singing.

And certainly not expected from Shaan. Come on , he is one of the greats. The choice was too obvious and I refuse to believe it is the "Mukherjee" connection.

Was it her choice ? It was Zee who selects songs. She is just an eight year old kid and I don't think she has full understanding of the lyric and if it was proper or improper - she sang and danced to the song the way she was coached. Stop going after a little kid.
