Does Shalini's singing bother anyone? - Page 5

I thought Shalini is over ten years old, and not eight, but then it doesnt make any difference to me either. Maybe it's her high heels and makeup that make her look older, along with her over confidence. Like Pritam and Abhijeet mentioned about Yatharth's over donfidence on day two, they should have corrected Shalini too - after all she is a kid and is in the process of growing her talent...

At times I am baffled whether the judges show partiality like that (not pointing out the defects in a contestant's singing) is because they like that singer or that they do not care about that singer!! Of course when they mentioned that for Yatharth, they are in fact helping him to get out of it and to be careful so that he will grow to be an even better singer. But by not doing that to Shalini, they are destroying her future at such an early stage, I believe, because winning this competition is not the ultimate goal or end of her singing career...

Just my thoughts... I am already shocked to see Farah go, so at this point, nothing on the show matters much to me!

What I found ridiculous was, yes, Yatharth was a little bit over-confident in his song (even though Abhijeet was just referring to a specific texture he added in a certain part which just came out wrong for the song), but I was suprised that it was he that was shouted at for it over people like Shalini that have been over-confident since the one song at the audition, which honestly, wasn't that great. I mean, I'm not saying she's bad, but she is waaay too over-hyped and should have been eliminated by now.
I mean, if she's that concerned about her performance, she should see what Swarit does. He dances along with his songs and doesn't make it seem...cheap.
Btw, someone mentioned her dieting...dieting will make you sound worse...that and cold foods. When you're hungry and you sing, it makes you sound bad.

I agree with you. And regarding the underlined part, see my above/earlier post in this thread. I said the same thing - they pointed that out to Yatharth and by doing so they are helping him, but by hyping Shalini and not pointing out her mistakes, they are killing her talent! Same thing happened with her Piya Re song last week - she killed it and yet no one pointed that to her!! Instead they hyped her as the best pop singer in the future blah blah... Why do these people destroy the talent in kids instead of nourishing them and help them grow better so that they will have a career in singing....

Antara was my favorite in the audition, but now I like Shreyasi more... And Farah was better than Shalini and Antara... In fact the top three among girls looked like (to me) Shreyasi, Priyanka and Farah... It might be my eyes, as beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder, I find Priyanka as the most beautiful among the gals this season! She is simple looking and very natural too... And one more thing I find strange is that I feel Shreyasi looks so much alike Smitha from LC2, esp her smile!!! LOL...

Yes Nishi, I saw that and what a day to start this week!! I hope it isnt true... 😭 Maybe my ears are real bad to think some others were worse than the eliminated ones - boys and gals!!

Agree with the top three girls completely! And completely agree with Yatharth as #1 among boys! My top three for boys are Yatharth, Abhigyan and Yashodhan... I dont really get connected to any of the boys' singing except Yatharth and at times Yashodhan, Abhigyan and Abhijeet... I feel awkward with Hemant chanting Mathura slogan every time before he starts singing... It kinda takes away his innocence...

Hemant is a pretty good singer acc. to me his voice has all the variations. Abhigyan and yashodhan are also good but they lack that finnesse which I feel hemant has.😃 maybe I'm mistaken

Abhigyan has a def. breath problem.Yashodhan's voice is a bit harsh as i think some judge pointed out. he is a bit mechanical

Hemant's singing if you see in isolation impressed me quite a bit, esp. maa da ladla. even kailash loved it

I agree with Abhigyan having some breath issues at times... Hemant's singing is good though not the best.. But I get bugged by his chant... Kids should be kids and not made to do such things... Yes, both Yashodhan and Abhijeet lack expressions often... In that aspect, Hemant is definitely better than them because he sings with the feel most of the time... 😃

She is too much................poor girl...does not even have any idea how sadly she is loosing the best time of her life...her childhood........
