CG: Legally, it's valid for a person to do what he/she pleases after turning 18 but this is about the person's emotions and not just legal rights. She needs to first make sure that she is ready for such a drastic change. Personally, I don't advocate transgender surgeries.

Bollywood influence i meant more from westernization stand point, not this issue in particular...but there is atleast one bobby darling who I know was desperate for gender change. I have no problems (neutral position) with that tho. coz when I heard her/his intend for gender change he was adult.
