and anything that gets hyped becomes a hit... i prefered soni de nakhre..
plus udit was playing second fiddle to shaan in the song.

yea but after listening to sone i think it just bugged me 😛

btw coming back to topic ,

i think he should ask only for romantic songs now...
plus he should get out of the "rat race" like alka and sanu did..

I think Udit Narayan is already a legend...coz he has sung tons of good songs...which proves his versatility and he is a pretty well-known bollywood singer....and once you reach that height, its impossible to forget them!!! i mean...now even if he stops singing, he will always be remembered as a very fine singer...so i think he's a legend....

i think over the period of time the definition of "legend" has changed. just like the definition of "hit" , "superhit" have been changed. earlier, it the movie ran for 12 weeks plus it was considered as hit and now if it runs for couple of weeks its declared blockbuster. just the analogy i am trying to give here. same applies to the singers too.
so if one has to go with current yardstick , i would say he surely is a legend in making.

I consider him as a living legend of music today. He has sung some beautiful classics of the 90s and has an outstanding voice quality. And I don't think his personal life related issues and/or behaviour on national television will have any impact on how people view him in later years. I mean if we go back in the history of bollywood, many actors and musicians who are considered legends today were involved in controversies at that time. And with due respect to Kishoreda and his fans, my image of him kind of got ruined after reading more about his personal life. And with such a life story if KK can be a legend then why not Uditji?

true, but udit doesn't have the mad genius image for him to be able to do such things...

i still like him a lot.. and i'm sure many of us do.

Rafi saab , even tho he didn't profile himself (heck he used to come late and leave early for a premire of a film coz he hated publicity!) actually had the best nice guy image, tied with shaan.
