OBJ, you have impressed me BIG time!! You are a matured teenager now!! Wow!! No joke, I am serious... Many times, you made silly comments like a teenager and you have turned the tables now! Very impressive!! 😃 👏 👏
Even to make an artist, especially a singer, it would be hard if they dont have the talent within... 😃

Bet two sureelas u take the one with the better voice, expressions, style etc..

thats why i liked ash more than anwesha (tho anwesha had an excellent voice too)

Too much classical KILLS the song.

Khatarnak, these melodies are based on the 7 notes.. it isn't necessary u need to base it on a raga..

rd burman's songs were so simple and melodious...

there is an article on mukhesh ... some classical guy asked an md why inspite of classical training he had to go by cycle while untrained mukesh had a mercedes.. the md gave him a tune.. the classical guy failed!
thats why he went by cycle 😃

also rafi hardly had any training, kishore used to merely observe singing classes of some relative of his, yet they souned better than manna dey..

I totally disagree with you guys - all the legends we talk about were all classical trained (even Rafi Saheb), and one should know how to utilize their talent (all the songs by greats Rafi ji, Khan Sahab and other legends have utilized their talents in ghazals and even in bollywood and that was the reason - why they were so much better then today's singers.
I am not going to get into the debate of Kishore Kumar and Rafi Saheb, but a true ustaad would be able to tell you the difference (OBJ you should know it better, people like a lot of singers but that does not mean they are really good, you like these songs for a short period of time and then eventually they disappear.

Yes you are!! 😆 😆 For me, it's not only the voice quality but I should feel the connection too - even with hiphop songs - it should make you feel the same energy...

I have quoted a good example in my post. I dont agree with ya completely, but I dont want to say anything as you would think I am arguing with ya! 😃 I agree that many singers have the classical background (Lataji, Ashaji, Yesudas, etc) but there are many who didnt make to the same level with classical training and then there are again many who made to the equal level without classical training... Music is a god given talent and one of the best gifts from God - if you have it in you, you will get to where you belong... 😊

Yashita has some good performances too. In skill I think it is Vaishali.

I'm sorry Summer ji, major flaw in my personality. I do and say things without thinking first. And then regret comes later. Ahh, I hope I haven't completely ruined my impression on you. 😳 I need to learn to keep this big mouth of mine shut.
I agree, Yashita has a few good performances, but Vaishali still takes the cake!

OBJ - I wasn't expecting such a illogical reply - or may be you are just arguing for the sake of argument - there are so many besura singers in this industry (I am not not going to name any - as you know that better) - should I assume for you singing is limited to film industry.
