Yes I agree with you that bengalis just love him to death and some did not care for his singing either, so does people from Rajasthan love Raja they had booths set up for him for voting, and Pakistanis and a lot of Indians voted for Amanat only and that is how it works in India. That is how it works with all the contestants in India. Amazingly it has been more than a year since Aneek became the champ but still certain people wont stop bad mouthing the poor guy. How do you know that it was only bengalis who voted for him and not others, do you have some kind of proof? Any way, he is the champ and that too a well deserving one, and nothing can change that.

I have heard much better rendition of Tujhse Naraj.... it is one of the most overhyped songs of amanat. Cant forget his mitwa performance though. Way better than the original.

your welcome.
lol
no hard feelings..
but if amanat was fat, balding and pimply you wouldn't have found koi mil gaya nice.. he sang out of tune..😃
and how am i being biased if his diction was low class? he didn't sound sophisticated.. like javed akhtar said, it is imprtant that u sing udit/rafi/kishore songs in a refined way..
dont get me wrong, i think amanat is awesome in his own way, i even voted for him because of that ghazal round.. but as far as filmy genre is concerned.. he isn't good.

Okay thanks for your comments, I can go on and on and can tell you how songs both Raja and Aneek have murdered, and many a times (more than Amanat) they both were out of Sur and no one has even come close to Tujse Naraz nahin Zindagi and how can we ignore the comments by Pandit Jasraj ji, but I do respect your opinion.
I thought his Mitwa was impressive but couldn't listen to it more than just a few times. Mitwa is the song I have heard so often that as soon as I downloaded it in Amanat's voice the difference was evident. No doubt Amanat was a very good and verstaile singer and was\is my favorite but I found Aneek better than him in most songs.

Wow, i am surprised that somehow, people here know the exact demographics of Aneek Dhar voters.
It is insulting to say that only Bengalis supported him. That would mean that he got votes from then because of being Bengali, which would disregard all the hard work and riyaz he has done to get where he is today. I know for a fact that one of Aneek's greatest fans is a Punjabi girl who was born in Malaysia. And another is an Afghan girl born and raised in the USA. These are just 2 examples of music lovers who have united to support someone who they believe to be a prodigy. It is true that a handfull of folks vote based on region, but that rings true for all regions, not just Bengal. But, the majority of music lovers put other petty issues like region and religion aside and vote for their favorites.
@ Bellevue, it is true. No matter how you slice it, no matter how you look at it, the fact remains, Aneek won Challenge 2007. That won't change. Well i respect all singers of srgmp and i wish each of them a comfortable and prosperous life ahead.

Personally I love all three and they are great friends and have great respect for each other. Both Raja and Aneek recognise that Amanat was the most learned in music.
Each of them has given some most unforgettable performances. It does not matter to me who is better than who. I always have enough space in my heart for all.

@ Summerji,
🤗
I need to tell you something.. My dear friend Bellevue and i were chatting about IF a few days ago and we both mentioned that you have never put anyone, either another IF member or reality show contestant, down. You always have praises for everyone. In fact, i have noticed that in some forums, your posts seem to liven up a "tense" situation. ;) So hats off to you for your positivity!

What to do Lucky Jade, all of you are such nice people. Another term for Creation is variety and multiplicity.

I applaud both of you for being such positive contributers in this forum. Personally I try to keep a distance from making negative comments. I have noticed for some reason there are people in this forum never miss a chance to hurl insults at Aneek's winning of SGMP 07. I wish they would just wish him well and go on enjoying and appreciating music all over again..

But as to personal taste it is quite natural for all to have their own favourites. I would be worried if everyone liked the same singer.😆
