It is amazing the way Guru's give her HISTORY or even SUPER HIT with straight faces. All 4 of them cannot be that biased. I will never believe that they can rate her a better singer than Sayon, Arshad, Manisha, Shashi, Mitika, Faraz, Naina, Kaushik, Shujat and Sara etc.

I agree with you, I too wonder the same. How can she get superhit or history when excellent singers end up with superhits??!! Even this week (Of course I agree she has improved a lot and her song 'Didi tera devar deewana' was quite bearable), she got 3 history and one superhit whereas Vaishali also got the same and Soumen and Zaheer ended up with Superhits mainly!

There must be a reason (other than comparative singing) she is still in the competition. Earlier a few reasons were brought up ............ but can someone pin point one good reason for her survival? Is it:

1. Zee's script?

Possible - not 100% sure though.

2. TRP?

Dont think so. They will be able to keep the same or better TRPs without her.

3. Sanjaya's factor in public voting?

No comments.

4. Her charm? Comedy?

Might have been a factor in the beginning, but with repetition, the charm would have faded by now.

5. Accent?

Everyone has one, based on the region they are from. None of them speak Hindi with the same accent.

6. Bad ears?

Quite possible, along with "blind" fascination - the same way some lousy actresses have a big fan base when extremely talented ones may not have any. 😆

7. Father's Money?

I dont think his money can buy voters from India just like that, but definitely can have thousands of cell phones and a few employees to make phone votes from those cellphones every week!

If the reason is public voting than it is a shame. How many people will buy her CD?

I wonder the same! Even if some people buy it, that would be as a keepsake collection - I dont think anyone will listen to it like a ritual.
