This is such bs man! Debojit's parents came to the show and pretty much said they have tried to get this dude treatment all over the world but no one has able to attach a syndrome/disease/disorder to his issues. Now if the dude had ADD, or was mentally challenged, his critics like me would have had enough integrity to not mock him. But as it happens, I think he's just one of those kids who was never interested much in studying, sports or extracurriculars, you know one of those slackers, fat loners, losers who have no friends, are sitting far away from everyone else in the Chem lab and playing with the bunsen burner, and you feel a mizture of disgust and pity for them. The problem here is that if any of us were like him, our parents would have knocked that phase right outta us and we would have been grateful for it. But he's an only child, and combine that with overindulgent parents, probably got a freebie for all his idiosyncracies. It bothers me that Pritam is playing this card, he has no right to especially when no medical professional has ever diagnosed the kid of anything. But then if he's as shrewd a businessman as his bootlegging of foreign songs shows, he will of course play the card because Debojit already looks and acts like a retard, it isn't exactly a tough sell.

How can doctors all over the world not diagnose his condition? If there was something wrong with him, there should be a name for it..

The channel including his parents are playing the Taare Zameen Par card to fetch some votes for him. I think it is wrong in many ways...

yeah they are trying to bring in the Taare Zameen Par angle to the show for no rhyme or reason.. Pritam thinks he is Aamir Khan with his Nikumbh Sir act.. UGH

can't debojeet be eliminated soon, i can't handle watching Zee and D's parents exploit a serious issue like this one..

There is some merit in what the other participants had complained about Pritam. It is obvious that Pritam was trying to promote Debojit more than other contestants even from his own gharaana. Pritam's justification of his actions was also quite dubious.

All contestants must be treated equally and the fact that Debojit may be a 'special' child should not a reason to promote him. Debojit may be a special child but since he has opted to compete amonst other normal human beings, his being "special" should not be a factor at all in his progress in Saregamapa. It is sad that mentors are getting carried away by sentiments. It is undestandable if general public gets swayed by such sentiments but the least mentors MUST judge contestants purely on their merit.

It seems all the gurus want to promote specific singers in their gharanas. Mostly their comments are contrived and aimed at affecting public opinion.When a singer fails to perform they concoct stories like oh he's not well today blah blah. Even if a singer gets a sore throat, which I deem as careless attitude on part of a professional singer,he shouldn't be given any benefit because that would be unfair to other contestants.

I think that judges and contestants should not be using the sympathy card at all, since is creates a bias as the other contastants suffer due to it.
