It was an awkward scene to watch as Soumen, Shujat, Faraz and other boys complained that they feel isolated because of favouritism being showered on DD by all mentors specially by Pritam.
This resulted in chaos and Pritam admitted (requesting this part be edited) that he stammered as a student to the extent that he mostly failed in the exams and thats why he recognises DD (identifies himself?) as special child and doles out extra encouragement. Eventually script won and all contestants apologised to mother of DD and mentors.
I think this issue needs more sensitive handling. While DD is a child in special need, some where this is being exploited to mount a vote response by the channel. this is likely to irk many viewers and rival contestants, personally I feel DD is not at fault here. Ideally it would be much better that a fair competition was held and contestants eliminated acc to merit but who cares where sms rules.

coming to renditions: Sara and Shujat were weakest followed closely by Faraz.
Faraz nearly looked as if he has lost will to survive any more and sang (Channo ki aankho mein: what a B grade song) just for the heck of it.
Vaishali was the best (char dino ka) followed by Yashita (Hamma) but over all standard for this stage of competition is miserably low.
And above all Asma continues to survive above others, I sincerely wish she wins and turns the whole show into a mockery.
Sara nearly screwed up its rocking by a flat rendition and poor pitching which has become her hallmark.
Shujat chose a fantastic song (Dil Chahta Hai) and went flat while trying to do justice with energy. Another thing is he brought the song 2 notes down, this is a youhtful song full of energy and latter suffers when scale is lowered.
