Even I feel that sometimes people just need an excuse to point fingers at HR because of their personal dislike. But really he has nothing to do with this case as it is all between Bhushan Kumar and Kally. I am not a Himesh fan or anything. Dear Sir / Madam,

We are in receipt of your e-mails raising doubts on unblemished reputation of T-Series with regard to plagiarism of 'Soniye Je Tere Nal Daga Main Kumawan Rab Kare Main Mar Janwan' from the movie Karzzzz.

We would like to clarify that the song is not a lift but a mere adaptation of a song copyright of which are owned by T-Series (including lyrical & musical works). It is similar to the way as we have adapted Ek Hasina Thi ( which has been licensed to us by saregama) which has also been adapted from the original soundtrack of old KARZ. The singer Kulwinder does not have any right to the song as in copyright parlance he has merely rendered his voice to the earlier song and we have all the rights including right to adaptation in the lyrical & musical works form the Producer / Writer & composer of the said song.

The entire musical arrangement and treatment has been changed and the song in question has been adapted from another song which is also owned by us and thus we are not infringing on anyone's copyright. We value copyright and are the torch bearers in the anti-piracy campaigns across verticals.
