Suraj Sathe is one of the rare musicians who still play the accordion and all on the sets gave him a standing ovation. Despite a back injury, Suraj has not given up playing the instrument. The instrument is sometimes considered a one - man - band as it needs no accompanying instrument. "I will play on this till my last moment and though it weighs 17 kilos, I'd never give it up to play on the keyboard as many of my colleagues and younger musicians do," says a humble Sathe. Mahaguru Alka Yagnik salutes Sathe and says he's Latadi's (Mangeshkar) favourite musician.
The Friday episode also announces a veto power in the hands of the Mahaguru. Alka explains, "I've been given a one-time use 'Bhramhaasthra' (veto power) to be given to any one contestant who is eliminated by the audiences by getting the lowest votes but who I sincerely feel deserves to be a part of the competition. There is a lot of responsibility imposed on me if and when I use this power as it's not to disregard the audiences verdict but sometimes, when they vote due to being emotional in seeing a singer from their region win the crown...it may always not be the right decision. And that Li,L Champ maybe really very talented but doesn't get the audience support for various reasons. The kid given the veto power get an opportunity to continue on the show for one more week and prove his/her singing prowess and win the audiences hearts!"
There's more excitement in this episode as a special celebrity guest, Savita Prabhune (Sulochana Aaji from Pavitra Rishta), invites senior citizens from Mumbai's Dignity Foundation's Chai Masti Club to watch the Li'l Champs perform. It was also an emotional moment for Sulochana Aaji as Mumbai's Veda sings a song dedicated to her and she saw her parents in the audience. "You are lucky to have your parents support and when you grow older, you must still look after them and not disown responsibility towards them," says Savita as she recounts her current track in Pavitra Rishta of being ruthlessly thrown out of her house by her son & daughter-in-law.
