Sorry, and not everybody needs to agree with me, but I do not connect with his singing at all!

This year's SaReGaMa contest offers the most variety of singers, which makes them difficult to compare. Jasraj is a great performer, but I wonder if he is the best singer. The channel needs to identify at the beginning of their contest if they wish to select a good all rounded singer, a great unidimensional performer or any other specification with which the winner can be selected.

I disagree. I would say these days there are good singers dime a dozen. We have 4 different channels having talent shows and even considering all the recycled singers that's at least 40-50 super talented singers each year and there must be many independent singers trying their luck outside of this talent show drama. The singers of the past year are soon forgotten and new ones take their place. Some one like Madhuri might sing decently but there is nothing that distinguishes from the other 100 good singers. I think someone like Jasraj stands out because he brings something that is not run- of- the- mill talent. Even niche singers like Renu, we have seen at least one or two in every show. So I won't comment on your preference for his singing which is entirely subjective( as is mine) but I am always excited to see what Jasraj has to offer each time he comes on stage and his performances continue to excite me. This is even when knowing that his singing is rarely flawless.

Whether Jasraj Joshi is being deliberately hyped or over-hyped, there is no doubt at all that these series of posts are keeping him hyped!

Sorry I did not add this to my earlier message. Creative talents like Jasraj Joshi need to be encouraged from a distance. People seem to forget he is singing live. If there are multiple takes no one can make mistakes or can correct their mistakes. Madhuri Dey need not have sounded strained or Mohd. Aman could have corrected his breathlessness.
