Yup echo your thoughts namzie...
and namak you have it nailed to a T - at least that's how I view it
I've always felt that the Rubina murder track was not necessary, quite silly and boring too. Having dragged it for a month, I remember a lot of people getting disillusioned with the serial during this time and slowly leaving. Yes, the CVs probably did all of that to show a growth in the INSA love story...but then they could have continued it during and after the swetha track itself...instead of wrapping it up in 2 days and showing a monster-like Sanchi afterwards, they could have extended the mystery for a week or two, kept these two together till they solved the mystery with lots of slow realizations during the process. After the track, Sanchi and Indu cold have parted civilly (with Sanchi asking for a divorce leaving Indu heartbroken, but still not humiliated) and then ssslllowllly thereafter Sanchi realizes what all Indu had done for her and meant to her..Finally, she caved in just before the divorce proceedings.
This way we could have watched a more solid basis for the lead-on to their love story. Whatever it is, the confession did sorta feel sudden (well at least to me) But anyway, I'm still going to be happy we got to see INSA love for a month...😊
And claressa, I don't mind what you called the disturbing scenes either...I feel they are part of the characters in such a story...they're still lame in comparison the actual visuals of what we saw during the classroom-forced-I-Love-you and the forced marriage...and those two scenes involving Sanchi are quite essential to the show, right?
Nevertheless whatever the issue, I still do not think this is all that contributed or did not to the TRPs... basically, the time slot played the biggest factor, followed by a non-typical small town love story and then followed by non-typical protagonist.
Non-family dramas are rarely able to compete with the family ones for TRPs... For e.g. Geet and even IPKKND have such a huge following but they don't have the same TRPs as BV or DABH...
