Sampada and Gagan's mutual admiration society
We wonder if something's cooking between Gagan Arya of Kabhi To Nazar Milao and Sampada Vaze of Risshton Ki Dor. Both the young actors can't stop gushing about each other every time they are asked about who their favourite TV star is. Gagan and Sampada consider each other the most dedicated actor, and also the list of adjectives they have for each other is rather long; sweet, smart, cute, hardworking, friendly... to mention a few. What's more surprising is that the two aren't even co-stars! We wonder what will happen if they are cast together!
Sachin and Supriya back together
After the super success of Star One's Nach Baliye, actor Sachin and wifey Supriya Pilgaonkar
are going to be back with a bang on the small screen. The duo are all set to act in Tu Tota Main Maina. The comedy series will be directed by Sachin himself and he also acts in it. They play village bumpkins who come to the city in search of work and win everyone's hearts with their wit and simplicity. One needs to wait and watch if they recreate the Nach Baliye magic!
Mansi and hubby aren't picture perfect
One doesn't mean there is trouble in paradise for Mansi Salvi and hubby Hemant Prabhu, who's also directing her in Sahara One's Sati – Satya Ki Shakti. Hemant is extremely shy when it comes to clicking pictures and that's one of Mansi's biggest complaints about him. According to Mansi, the only picture of them together is during their shaadi, after which whenever they go to a party together or attend functions, the moment Hemant spots the shutterbugs, he does a quick disappearing act. Well, as long as Mansi has him in person, why bother about a photograph?
Anuj goes serious
After soppy soaps, a film called Lips — The Kiss of Death and ad production, Anuj Saxena wishes to do something more meaningful now. So, he has decided to produce a documentary film called Fables of Birth, which is a story about the mid-wives of India. Anuj's reason for producing and presenting this documentary is that he is very fond of kids and, "This was an excellent subject for us to present ourselves as serious documentary filmmakers and the subject appealed to me both as a producer and as a viewer." Anuj is all set to take the film abroad too.
Pooja wants to be herself
Pooja Rawal is tired of being a personality, we guess. After having done big shows like Star Plus' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Siddhant on Star One and now the latest in her kitty being Viraasat, Pooja prefers to be recognised as Pooja rather than a big personality. So, she has rather willingly conceded to replace Shruti Seth in Sahara
One's Bollywood Cutting, which is a Bollywood-based show. "According to me anchoring is more difficult than acting as you're always in a conversation. Moreover, I love to anchor as people recognise me as Pooja, and not a personality," she says. After all, Pooja has experience in anchoring as well, as she had hosted the show Shikhar not too long ago.
Juhi hates early mornings
In spite of doing a daily soap, Star Plus' Kumkum, which requires her to work round the clock, at times for days at a stretch too, Juhi Parmar still hasn't got used to her strange working hours. The pretty lass hates early mornings, but doesn't mind shooting till late in the night. Every time the call time is in the early hours of the day, Juhi is the first one to crib and at times even tries to shift the timing to a later hour. Of course, it doesn't always work because there's way too much money at stake and also her co-actors are willing to work early mornings. Guess on such days Juhi's not in the best of her moods.
Sai sheds her tomboy look
After Star Plus' Saara Aakash, Sai Deodhar is the new vamp on the block, with her role as Debolina in Kasauti Zindagi Kay. she is extremely excited about her new role. Sai says, "It's a good opportunity for me to explore my talent." After playing Miss-Goody-Two-Shoes roles, Sai is happy to do the role since negative characters are quit sought after. What she is also excited about is that the tomboy Sai will have long hair, wear salwaar kameez and has well doneup eyes. If the buzz is to be believed, this character has been moulded very well and will give Komolika a good run for her money. All hail the new queen of bad!
Will Nikkhil be out of work soon?
After his romantic show Rabba Ishq Na Hove with Aroona Irani, Nikkhil Arya was the only actor from the cast to have signed on Aroona's new show, Vaidehi, which didn't have the director-producer's pet Sangeeta Ghosh also. But barely has the show found a foothold, and Nikkhil is out of the scene. Nikkhil has opted out because of some last minute changes in script that he didn't agree with. As of now, the only show that Nikkhil is doing is Star Plus' afternoon show Kesar, which will soon be going off air too. Apparently, Nikkhil has turned down a next gen role in Star Plus' Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. So as of now Nikkhil has nothing to bank on other than Kesar, which is also on its way out. Let's see what the actor comes up with next!
Hussain's a mover and shaker
For all Hussain Kuwajerwala fans, there is some news. Hussain, as we all know is a good actor, but a fact not known to many is that he is also a fabulous dancer. Hussain discovered this talent as late as being in college. He was once watching his friends practice for a college event and when they fell short of dancers that day, one of his friends asked him to join the troup to fill in. Hussain agreed only after a lot of persuasion and soon found himself grooving to the music. Now he absolutely loves dancing, but he doesn't get much chance to do that because of his roles. Now, let's hope there's a role that'll let him shake a leg.
Monisha recently got ditched
We're not talking about heartbreak here, but a minor accident that
Monisha Khatwani recently had. Monisha was taking her car out of a building, when the car fell into a big ditch, giving Monisha a big jolt. "The car is in a bad shape and has gone for repairing. Thankfully nothing happened to me," Monisha says, heaving a sigh of relief. But her chagrin is far from over, as she is also being troubled by an obsessive caller for over three months now. "The calls are the usual, 'I'm a big fan of yours. I'd like to meet you' stuff, but the frequency is driving me nuts. Though I have threatened him that I'll lodge a police complaint, he still hasn't stopped. What's more irritating is that he calls from a private number," says Monisha. But other than such incidents, Monisha is very excited about her new show Ishq Ki Ghanti, which apparently is a small screen version of the film Masti.
Shilpa bhi sab janti hai!
Ever wondered how does Ami Trivedi keep fit in spite of her busy schedule? Ami has found a diet and fitness consultant in her Sahara One's Kituu Sab Janti Hai co-star Shilpa Singh. Having won a beauty pageant, Shilpa knows how exactly to keep fit. She gave Ami tips on the right food and the right time to eat. Apparently, Ami is following the instructions religiously and might we add, has also benefited from it.
