It has been just a few months since Rishton Se Badi Pratha on Colors has been on air but the lead pair played by Vishal Karwal and Shalini Chandran was quite popular with the audience. Shalini suddenly being replaced by Parul Chauhan of Bidaai fame was quite a surprise for everyone. We catch up with Vishal as he speaks about his new co-star Parul and reveals what he misses most about Shalini.

How is it shooting with new co-star Parul Chauhan?
It has really been good shooting with Parul and I had never expected it to be so much fun. She always has me in splits during the shoot.

What was your first reaction after finding out that she is the new female lead in Rishton Se Badi Pratha?
I had seen her work in Bidaai and was aware that she is a good performer. Since her show Bidaai was such a big hit I was worried that she may throw tantrums on the set. Now I have realized that she is not that type of a person.

You and Shalini were a popular onscreen couple do you think the audience will accept you and Parul in the same way?
Shalini was a very good actress and looked great too. I am unaware of why she was replaced. However I have full faith in the channel and producer's decision of bringing Parul in her place because they have been in the business for so long and know what they are doing.

What do you miss about Shalini?
I miss the comfort level that I shared with Shalini because we have worked together for 4 months. It will take some time for me to be as comfortable with Parul.

Parul entry which was a romantic scene has received good reactions, how was the experience of shooting for it?
I am glad that the scene received good reactions. It was Parul's entry scene and it takes time to understand a new co-star and her way of working. I am very happy with how the scene turned out.

Any interesting off screen moments while shooting that scene?
My only problem with Parul is that whenever my close-ups are being shot she keeps making funny faces. I have not laughed so much in the past 4 months like I did in the last 4 days. I have now requested her not to look into my eyes when my closeups are being shot.

What can we expect next in Rishton Se Badi Pratha?
There is lots of drama coming up. You will see how the family reacts after they find out about Shalini's miscarriage. Then there is also Ranvijay's track where he asks his wife to sleep with a police officer. So there is a lot to look forward to.

Yeh tho hona hi tha lol.Remember how Parul was making faces and Kinshuk was finding hard to be serious in the scene where she was in pink sari and dances for the kids and imagines Ranvir.

Nice interview, As Smitha said, Parul used to do this in Bidaai too to Kinshuk. Parul makes friends very easily, remember Shirish, he also said the same.

I saw 2 epis of pratha and I think he is doing pretty good, but still there is room for improvement.
