Unless they do something interesting with Baldev's character soon - I feel they are wasting Ajay. He is such a powerful actor, but the character is BLAH! Baldev just sulks and skulks. There was so much potential...but, they are just not developing him. Anami is growing closer to everyone, but not Baldev.

Seriously, the same sequences, the same dialogues, the same attitude and the same sulking all tge time. His character has not developed at all.
Why is he so jealous of Dheeru and not of Pujan? Dheeru was their employee and Pujan despite of being Vikram's nephew has more powers than the real son.

What useless project did he bring? Instead of sulking he should ask Pujan why he didn't point it out before. All he need to do is choose a better place for his resort. What is he crying for?

He is playing "duryodhana" in his own kingdom😆 I really can't feel anything but, disdain and boredom with Baldev. This cannot be what Ajay signed up for. He is worth more. Even the maids have more personality on this show

I had always seen great potential from Baldev and at the beginning I had even analyzed him as such. I was reading that analysis yesterday and I can't believe how right I was on so many points, but how they have led to the wrong conclusions. Just to show I'm quoting parts of my analysis here. The right is highlighted in green and the wrong in red.

Translate the same to Baldev and Satrupa's relationship. Baldev has been disowned. He's been cast aside. And Satrupa gets more attention and respect from Dadaji and Dadiji than Baldev. She is treated more as their child than Baldev is. In Baldev's eyes that makes Satrupa that sibling who is getting more attention than he is. But he's a grown and mature adult. He's not going to throw babyish tantrums. But he will complain that Satrupa gets more attention and recognition. He will wail over small things that Satrupa or anyone tries to do. He will demand things like Satrupa leaving the house with her "illegitimate" child, even if it doesn't make sense. He will hate Anami because Satrupa brought her in even if Anami really is his child.

Now it is going to take time for Baldev to accept Anami. In psychology, there is a concept referred to as the 5 stages of grief. These can really apply to anything. They are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Baldev is going to go through all of these before he and Anami bond. He has already denied Anami. He is now in the anger stage. He will do everything and anything in this stage. Over time he will slowly start bargaining with Satrupa, like "leave this house and take this amount" or "stop bothering me and do whatever you want" and so on. Depression can often be considered a separate stage, but it often happens at the same time as many other stages. He's in the depressed stage right now. He misses Vatsalya, is denied his basic rights of being Vikram's child, has been used by Satrupa, lost Sudha, and so much more. But as he comes over this he will grow to love Anami and become attached to her.

I also feel that Anami will be accepted slowly by the family. First Dadi will accept her. Then Dada. Then Narottam. Finally it will be Baldev at the end. Pujan and his family obviously will never be able to accept her into the family because it means handing the royal steels over to her.

The CVs haven't done justice to his character and more needs to be done about him. They started his characterization off on a great tangent, but somewhere I feel that the CVs have gotten overburdened with the number of characters they have and the story arc. Anami, Satrupa, Vikram, Gayatri, Narottam, and Sudha have all been given importance over Baldev, Adhiraj, Pujan, Tanya, Avdhoot, and Kamini. Poonam and Naina have no real character arcs left to them. Dheeru is the invisible hand that I feel will be revealed in one go.

But other than that I can't help but think back to the interviews posted in the forum where Ajay had said that there's more to his character than meets the eye and that's why he took on this role. It seems that he was either given a deeper character brief than we've been shown so far or he has also been misled and the CVs have truly lost their way on several characters.

They should at least give us some flash back scenes,a little more insight into the younger Baldev.

I thought there would be those of the baldev sudha romance/affair , but they finished it off with a story... just wondering when this character will completely come into play. Poonam and Naina being sidelined is ok.. but this is a major character.
