I am absolutely amazed by this actress as well as the character and she is the numero one reason I watch this show. Satrupa!!!! 👏 What a perfectly written role ... and even more perfectly cast.

Today's episode brought back the Satrupa we had seen at the very beginning ... the unforgiving ruthless woman... who will not flinch a bit before destroying anything or anyone who post any threat to her kids... be it even a family member (Punjan)

A few weeks now, we were all wondering why she is not on top of her game wrp to RS. And last day she herself explained...her focus now is Anami ... she doesnt care if Deeru wins...when time comes she will get it all back for Anami ...first she needs to get Anami.

And her dynamics with Anami...she is not overly imposing herself on Anami...she understand Anami's anger and allow her to keep that...she plays along for Anami's satisfaction... but when it comes to what she thinks is not something to compromise, like her kid's education and safety, she will play any mean game or even destroy any threat ... her roope keeps changing ...

But even with her 7 faces, her character is absolute...she is sensible but she does have her ego... but her ego is not always driving her as in case of Baldev...she knows when to step back and pounce back with more vigor...she has patience but she still gets her way when she wants it ...

We are yet to see a lot many other colours of this lady ... Baldev-Sudha story will show us what young Satrupa was like ...were she changed into this ruthless entity ...

Satrupa seems amused to see Anami's behavior ... she says its like watching a mirror...her pride in telling Baldev 'she is my daughter, she is not a coward to run away or fight from behind, she will fight you infront of you'...Vatsalya might have been her ever lasting love, but Anami will be her absolute pride...Satrupa knows Anami so well because she sees herself in Anami... her concern "the girl might end up in more trouble in her stubbornness to fight me", she can see what is happening ... Anami's attachment to NT is partly her rebel against Satrupa ... an attachment that will bite her back someday ...

In all this, what makes me like Satrupa is that, she is vulnerable. She feels all sort of pain...as a mother, wife and woman. She hasnt lost that essence of woman in her. Her power and rage hasnt diminished her feminine strength and weakness... she still slips and fall into traps but she seems smart enough to survive this Chakrayuh ...maybe at the end of all this Anami might understand what made Satrupa the woman she is ... and maybe we will have a bitter sweet ending to the show with Satrupa giving up all this and ending up with Vatsalya ...

I agree, Mira. Satrupa is one of the most brilliantly written characters to be shown on T.V, period. She is all the shades you mentioned and then some. Wonderfully portrayed by Narayani Shastri. The shock and worry in her voice when she saw Adhiraj carry an unconscious Anami back home. There is a lot more to her character and I, for one, cannot wait for it all to unfold.

Mira 🤗 missed your posts.

This show has been showing their female characters as strong women who are unapologetic about who they're. Satrupa the main protagonist as shown in the promos has been an interesting woman right from day one.
She's not black she's not white she's just human looking out for herself and the people and things that are dear to her. Well done writers for moving away from the perfect bahu perfect biwi perfect maa characters of tellyland 👏
Excited to see the various faces of this woman. Let her remain human and not perfect. We're all flawed as people and it'll be good to see flawed people with whom we can relate to,smile and cry with.

Word Mira !!

For mad I may be, but I am never convenient. Because I am invincible...

Satrupa is one of the most progressive character's in the history of Indian television, one that has abundance of grit and mettle and one that has taken the likes of Baldev and Pujan by storm. She is an army in her own might, courageous and yet, believes in fiercely protecting what and whom she loves, and unabashedly stoops to giving an eye for an eye, when its about her near and dear ones.

Whether its the worthy successor of Royal Steel or the flag bearer of Lal Mahal, or just the mother she is, I love her guts to believe in her strength and her forthrightness in following her heart as she stands undeterred in speaking her mind out and puts everyone in place, including her unworthy and spineless husband.

And needless to say that Narayani Shastri is totally slaying Satrupa. The gait, the poise, the screen presence or just the nuances of her expressions, everything is so bang on, that one cant help but feel the pride of her character as they watch her bring Satrupa to life, she is the living embodiment of Satrupa.

A lovely post from you, keep them coming.

Satrupa is a one man army.
People who said her character diminished a little got an exact reply yesterday.
I been have seeing Narayani from her past serial, there her character was grey and underrated but she slated there and now slaying here too.

This serial closed its loops brilliantly and give logic wala answer for every twist.

I really want to see Satrupa's breakdown and vulnerability before Anami.

Thanks for this brilliant post Mira.
