Hi Shruthiji,
Very fascinating and insightful read your analysis using the background of the Mahabharata. I don't know much of the Mahabharata story so I am learning about it as well through your posts. Who in your view is Bhishma in RKC ?

I enjoyed the epi today. We know where everyone stands with Sudha. I thought she still loved Baldev, apparently not.

Positive interpretation of sudha & the smoke, I thought it's symbolic of her creating a smoke screen.

Seh said Poojan was Dushayasan? or Duryodan?

I loved Adhi going abt business.finally he's working with a true informer😆 one who doesn't feed him misinformation , he has taken the right hand😆 Smart move, he didn't go himself.

Anami hasn't realised what she had done and I was glad to see Dadi trying to guilt her.

Will BD die or have a near death exp? Vikku saying he's the only waris and Sudha braying the waris' blood😲

I loved Dadi & Satrupa scene.Their matalbi relationship took a genuine turn today.

I loved the episode. After last week's debacle (at least in my opinion), today we're back on track.

Anami may think no one is on her side, but everyone is. They are working in the trenches solving the problems she has started, setting in motion a teaching for her.

I won't comment much on the episode since you really hit the nail on the head, but what I would like to comment on is Sudha mending relationships in her destructive mode. She is alone in her fight and that is why relations that have been broken will mend as everyone gets together to stand strong against her. In a way everyone in LM has a common enemy, Sudha, and they know that they need to work together to defeat her.

I enjoyed that aspect as Gayatri and Satrupa and Vikram and Baldev slowly mended their pasts and are now working towards a brighter future: one without Sudha.

@ Simran: I don't think anything can happen to Baldev. Maybe Narottam, but not Baldev. He's the disowned heir and therefore not really a target. But Narottam is the "official" heir and only with his passing away can Anami truly become heir. And I can totally see Narottam dying as and when he learns his mother's reality.

@mango I feel at this point as far RKC is concerned Vikku is the Bhishma. The creator of most of the troubles with his so called neeti, reeti, maryada.
@simran yes a smoke screen is also there, a fragrant smoke screen, but LM wasis knows the smoke screen. Yaa but for Anami it will be like that. She called Pujan Duryodhan. I feel the way she spoke will be the way she will create the smoke screen which finally will break down the system and usher in something new. She will cry to Pujan telling I thought you were Lakshman blah blah in front of Anami, some funda like that we can expect.

@Athene yes LM has a common enemy now and that is Sudha. 😆😆. See something happening to Baldev is there in my feeling also. More than death, something really drastic.

By the way guys missed on that sweet moments between Vatsalya and Satrupa. Whenver you see him on the screen, the screen simply brightens up, just like the rainbow among dark clouds. That song was also symbolic, Abhi na jhao chodhkar. Which mother would have felt enough laad pyyar has been given to her child who is just 17 years and Vatsalya he never likes his mother in tears. And I feel Vatsalya is there everywhere in LM, he feels each breath of LM and one way or the other he will guard LM through his sister.

Athene, am reading too much in BD packing his suitcase😆

Shruthi, Sudha is not seeking justice, she wants revenge, Adhi & Anami want justice, her wish won't be fulfilled.

Simran Sudha is seeking revenge only which she wont get, but I feel justice will happen that small fire that happens. That's her justice, the brunt LM has to go through.

Sudha is raging fury...she is wide awake making her prediction of the treatment she would mete out to the family.
Duryodhan reference was intriguing. Does she mean he covets power would resort to foul means to have it?
Anami does feel alone. Gayathri however decides to speak to Baldev first, Satrupa next and Anami finally.
Baldev is able to understand his father's anguish as he sees his daughter going against the family maybe.

The way in which Sudha tries to take control of pooja,kitchen...Satrupa has to act, She has to ensure that she would not allow Sudha to manipulate her through Anami.
It was a poignant moment that the mother and son sang together, Just as Anami keeps referring shed leave in a year, Vatsalya promised hed be back in a year...Why do you think Shruthi?

Vatsalya tried to mend the relations of the house. He was close to everyone, pleasing everyone. He tried to ignore the elephant in the room, and tried his best to make everyone move forward by being a binding thread of happiness and future.
Anami will make it happen.
Anami is addressing the issue which is creating the tension in the house. This bane she has brought into the house, is bringing out their past inner demons. There is desperation and frustration. There is regret and hopelessness. And it brings out the worst and best in man.
Like Anami said correctly, Lal Mahal ka neev jhooton se bana hai.
And like Sudha said, " Maa mujhe koi bhi saza do " - and she will, has to - I somehow feel she herself is the bali jo Lal Mahal gayi hai.
And before that this house which is built on lies and cheats will crash down, for a new day which will build a new LM (figuratively ) over, this one stronger - based on transparency and truths.

Today for the first time, we see a vulnerable side of Baldev. A side which craves for any sort of attention or affection from his father - at least one. All his life Baldev has been covered up for - to an extent that he has found it second nature to run away from his demons or find some one to blame. He has always been scolded or yelled at, but never once taken to a side and explained to. Maybe from childhood. Then his ignorance was ignored. Then, Dheeru might have just fueled his insecurities ; followed by Vikram handing over reigns to Satrupa. A slip of mask Vikram had on, opening up his emotions to his son - gave Baldev the courage and purpose to stay back.

Satrupa feels defeated. And you are right, Gayatri behaves as a female form of Krishna for Satrupa. And again, Vatsalya fills in the void.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear the song Satrupa sang - since I used it as the title for my first and only OS on this forum. 😆😳

And like the reason, I used it there - hear as well - it signifies the despair in Satrupa. Her loss, and the feeling of wanting him to be there just a little more time. Some more time with him, some more memories. She was not prepared for any of this. Gayatri comes in to console her daughter, and to see Anami as the shield which Sudha has annexed. To go back and retrieve it. Sudha enjoys the shock and betrayal she sees on the faces of LM ; because for her - that is what every single one of them did. She trusted them, and they used the trust to axe her down. Like she said, pain was fine.
"Woh ishq hi kya, jo aasan ho? "

But they betrayed her - broke her trust. And they will pay for it. They will. But it will not destroy them - it will destroy the weak ground on which their bonds have built - making way for new unbreakable bonds.

Adhiraj, is pensive. He needs time to think this through, hence the ignoring of her call. He needs to work this through with sane mind, and talking to Anami won't help him with that. She brings out emotions - which obstructs his logical mind. Without making any sort of breakthrough from his side or hear side - they cannot make progress. Anami has to learn to prioritize and trust the right people.
Like I sad " Anami is in the dark - and she is attracted to the glitter and not gold" which is natural.

@Vidya - Ooh that's a real catch on the year. I was thinking the same. Why the reiteration ? 😉

Like I said in a previous post,
The fight is between Satrupa and Sudha - as is evident from Sudha's vow. Somewhere, deep down in her eccentric mind, she still believes Baldev to be hers, just coerced by the family to marriage with Satrupa - and Baldev then "unwillingly" - now with "no feelings" whatsoever is supporting them. She thinks of Lal Mahal as a place which has truly sucked out colours from her life ; hence why she took pride in wearing the colour of clothes as this palace - the colour of passion - in both life and death. Anami is just a pawn, while Narottam is a knight. Hence why they are so important. They are shields, game changers. The queens are the last resort, but the power they come with is immense, almost invincible. With unlimited boxes to move and no restriction in direction - they shield their king in a convincing manner.
They are shielding and attacking their King - which in this case can be Baldev. ( Or perhaps, even Lal Mahal ) While the pawn might be of least importance in the beginning - as it seems now - they have a special property. Something which has been playing around in my mind since Anami said those words. A pawn while manipulated initially ; as it advances to the eighth box ( i.e it has reached 7th and safe), it advances to a Queen. (~known as promotion). And that is Anami. Hence one ends the game with more than one queen they had initially ; which in this case is Anami and Satrupa.

Narottam is a true knight on the chessboard. He is fighting out of obligation and duty towards his mother. A blind belief and trust in her. A knight is the only one capable of leaping over other pieces. Hence the only one who can change the game, sacrificing themselves. Not equating to death, meant it in a sacrificial duty manner.
