Just loved this scene between Anami and Pandit at the foot of river Ganga...

Mahima was once again brilliant in this scene👏⭐️. Real, raw, no more that bold and brazen tomboy but simply a young little girl, spewing out 17 years of pain, anger, frustration and hate for her biological mother. But then how can you hate if you have no connect?

An umbilical cord is surely cut but is never ever broken!

Anami sits there, tears streaming down her face, defenseless, scared to know her nightmare is turning into a horrible reality. Scared of losing her loved ones, scared of losing her life and home, scared of losing her identify, scared of losing that security blanket she had woven around her. (That scarf being placed on her shoulders by Pandit was quite symbolic) She takes it off! She wished her loving Dad had simply lied rather than tell the truth. Suddenly his truth was far more relevant than Anami herself. She felt betrayed and broken. Even Pandit denied his claim over her. Then he pacifies her saying "Humara janam ka nahi, mann vishwas aur karm ka rishta hai

My favorite dialogue "Don't give anyone the right to weaken you like this

And then she makes a promise, that here and now she would immerse all of her tears into Ganga Mayyaa. No More Tears! Firebrand Anami was BACK!

Seriously some brilliant dialogues in every scene of this show.

P.S. This show is too too deep for me to write daily episode posts. It needs some amazing writers like Diya, BugaSa or anyone who can delve into the characters well.

Of course will post whenever I can...

Would love for you to share your thoughts on this very significant scene!

Now that you put it this way... Ah I love your little write up on this scene!!
I loved Anami's reaction in this scene!! The way she was talking to her father or just her parents is like how we talk to friends!
Her venting out her frustration and sadness in the form of anger was so amazingly portrayed here!
I loved that you-could've-just lied dialogue! It showed her being on the edge and scared to be taken away from her family!
Your write up is really good! <3 Thanks for writing that scene with emotions. I loved reading it! Write up more, don't underestimate yourself! You're good! 👍🏼

Lovely take on that scene :)

I love the relationship she shares with Panditji. As she had said in an earlier scene, he never just gives her answers, he shows her the path she should tread to look for those answers for herself. What an amazing father figure to have in life.

Mahima is doing a superb job in portraying Anaami. The dichotomy between the tomboy and devil may care attitude and the scared, spurned child that is constantly inside of her is shown so well. You empathise with her even as you cheer her on in her bravado.

Beautiful take on that scene, DD! You described beautifully Anami's fears ... Mahima was brilliant in that scene! A young girl, shorn of the bravado and swag she always cloaks herself with ... now suddenly so vulnerable, terrified at the thought of losing the only family she has ever known, losing all that she loves and holds dear ... Mahima showed that near-hysteria beautifully! Her despair, mingled with the hatred for her birth mother ... you feel for the young girl, her world is being torn apart, and even the reassurance from her beloved panditji is not enough to assuage her fears ... rightfully so, as it turns out. The way she cries ... why didn't you lie ... why didn't you say that baby died, this girl is our child ... she knows her Pandit father never lies, but her fear is overpowering her.
The setting of the scene was even more beautiful ... the majestic view of the ghats and the River Ganges ... and father and daughter trying their best to console and fortify for the storm ahead. Loved the way Murari Pandit told Anami that bonds of love and trust are stronger than ties of blood ... reminded me of another father-adopted daughter bonding I loved ... 😳

I loved the lines he said ... don't give anyone to power to weaken you ... and Anami wipes her tears and swears she will not shed another tear for this birth mother she hates ...

You write beautifully ... please keep writing!

Seconding what you and Dia have said. This was a very poignant scene. What I love most about this show is how they are showing the innermost thoughts of each of the characters and it was beautifully enacted by Mahima, with her anguish and fear etched on her face as she feared her worst nightmare coming true, that of leaving the sheltered cocoon of her home.
