Just loved this scene between Anami and Pandit at the foot of river Ganga...
Mahima was once again brilliant in this scene👏⭐️. Real, raw, no more that bold and brazen tomboy but simply a young little girl, spewing out 17 years of pain, anger, frustration and hate for her biological mother. But then how can you hate if you have no connect?
An umbilical cord is surely cut but is never ever broken!
Anami sits there, tears streaming down her face, defenseless, scared to know her nightmare is turning into a horrible reality. Scared of losing her loved ones, scared of losing her life and home, scared of losing her identify, scared of losing that security blanket she had woven around her. (That scarf being placed on her shoulders by Pandit was quite symbolic) She takes it off! She wished her loving Dad had simply lied rather than tell the truth. Suddenly his truth was far more relevant than Anami herself. She felt betrayed and broken. Even Pandit denied his claim over her. Then he pacifies her saying "Humara janam ka nahi, mann vishwas aur karm ka rishta hai
My favorite dialogue "Don't give anyone the right to weaken you like this
And then she makes a promise, that here and now she would immerse all of her tears into Ganga Mayyaa. No More Tears! Firebrand Anami was BACK!
Seriously some brilliant dialogues in every scene of this show.
P.S. This show is too too deep for me to write daily episode posts. It needs some amazing writers like Diya, BugaSa or anyone who can delve into the characters well.
Of course will post whenever I can...
Would love for you to share your thoughts on this very significant scene!
