Ratan always knew that for Diya her responsibility came first. When it came between her happiness and her responsibility she will never betray her responsibility. He also knew that she was smart and stubborn, one cannot convince her by words merely. He had to do something different in order to 'let her go'' and thus he joined hands with Abhay.

'Ap chahte hai ki Diya wapas chali jai aur main bhi yaahi chahta hoon''

And they both made the plan to fake an attack on Ratan and show Diya that the 'true enemy'' was caught. Fortunately, they were successful. Even though the dushman was not from the family, but the story behind his attack was so convincing that Diya had to agree that that they have caught the one they were searching for. Ratan, on the other hand did not tell her anything about leaving her pehredaari instead he asked Abhay sa to talk to her.

'Hum jante hain ki dushman pakra giya hai likin...''
Likin kya?' asked Abhay 'Apne vachan diya tha ki jabtak Ratan sa zimmedari lene ki kabil nahi ho jaate ap unhe nahi chorengi, wo vachan pura hua! Apne vachan liya tha ki agar dushman pakra giya tou a iss ghar se chaale jayengi who vachan bhi pura hua...ab apke liye yaha aur kya hai rukne kiliye?''

Exactly! Aur kya bacha hai? Hum kyun apne maan ko mana nahi pa raahe hai.

She went to Ratan's room but a tall dark man was standing outside. She frowned at him and was about to knock Ratan's door when he came out.

'Mr.india ap?''
'Ratan say yeh kaun hai??'' she was puzzled, Ratan asked her to come inside

'who Doug hai Diya, ex NYPD. America se aya hai meri security kiliye ajh se woh hi humare saath rahenge''

Diya felt bad but she did not show it on her face. Next morning Ratan was about to leave the haveli when Diya stopped him 'Ratan sa ap kahi ja rahe hain? Rukiye hum abhi aate hai''
'koi zaroorat nahi hai Diya humare saath ab Doug hai plus police bhi hai toh hum mein aur kisi bodyguard ki zaroorat nahi hai'' he patted her arms and left.

Bodyguard. Bodyguard. Toh hum unke liye actual mein sirf ek pehredaarni hi hai aur kuch nahi
likin hum itna vabhuk kyun ho rahe hain sach mein hum toh sirf sirf sirf...bodyguard hai

But this was not enough to persuade her to go, So Ratan thought of something else and shared it with Abhay sa.


'26 December ko humari engagement hone wali hai likin us din who engagement nahi hoga''

'Hum sab ke samne yeh ailaan karenge ki hum Diya se apna rishta tor rahe hai aur hum mein pata hain ki Diya hum mein baad mein puche gi aur gussa bhi karengi kyun hum ne unse bina ouche iss natak ka andh kaar deeya aur uska bhi jawab ready hai humare paas''

Abhay was quite happy and contented with the plan. But on the other hand someone else was also making a plan

'1600cr ki property ki malkin...daata hukum ki patni...apni din ginne shuru kar do
26 December teri zindagi ki ankhri din hogi''

And Diya's photographed burned down.

As soon as they reached the temple near their house Ratan prepared himself for the ultimate drama. Soon they reached the stairs of the pond climbing down which the new couple had to light the 'Diya'' for their relationship and sail it on the pond. The place was quite deserted and only family members were allowed there for safety measures. Diya was about to climb down the stairs when Ratan held her hand.

'Ruk jao Diya ab bas bohat hogeya'' snapped Ratan
Diya as well as everyone else was shocked.
'Mujhe saab pata chal geya hain...maine socha tha ki intezar karunga aur tum khud akei saari sachain mujhe batao gi likin jab woh nahi ho raha hain tou lagta hain hum mein hi saab karna padega''

where everyone was in a fix Abhay realized what Ratan was doing.

Hum mein maaf karna Diya apki zindagi bachane ka aur apki khushiyan apko wapas deneka sirf yahi ek rasta hain humare paas

'Hum meiin vishwas nahi horaha hain Diya ki hum pe hu yein haar humlein(attack) ki zimme dar ap hain''
Diya was shocked to the core
'Ap hi hain na jisne uss din gari mein woh gas leak kiya tha''
'Datahukum hum nein toh woh sirf ap ko...''
'Toh ap manti hain ki woh ap hi thi''
'Nahi Datahukum ap aise soch bhi kaise sakte hain ki humne yeh sab kiya ha''
'Exaactly diya hum soch bhi nahi sakte ki apne humse humare Babasa se itna bara chal kiya''
'Baas datahukum ap humare vachan par sawaal utha rahe hain''
Vachan?'' Ratan smirked 'apne hum me aur humaari babasa ki vishwas ka gala ghota hai Diya''
Her eyes got filled with tears
Ratan closed his fist

Hum mein aur takat nahi hai Diya yeh aur mat kara vaiye humse...please tut jayi yein aur chali jai yein humare zindagi se

'Ap yeh saab kya keh rahe hai'' her voice started to shake
'Sach kehre hain. Aur waise bhi apse aur umeed bhi kya kar sakte hain hum... jo apne behen apne pyaar ka na ho saki woh humara kya hogi''
Everyone was stumped. And Diya couldn't believe her ears ...was it the same Ratan who massaged her head, who defended her in front of his own family, who made her laugh...how could he be so ruthless?
'Itne dino taak hum soch te rahe ki ap hi hum marein pehredaar hai likin ap tou humari sabse badi dushman nikli...ap chale jai yein yaha se Diya aur kabhi bhi apna chehra hum mein maat dikhana''
Diya was shattered and tears were rolling down her cheeks. She tried to hold Ratan but he moved away from her and that's when he noticed it...the gunman.
First he thought he was targeting him and then he turned and noticed the red dot near Diya's chest.
Diya who couldn't digest the words spoken by Ratan for her was lost in her own thoughts. And everything that happened afterwards was in such a rush that she couldn't even react.
Suddenly Ratan came, held her and and was about to throw her to the left when her face got splashed with blood. Ratan whose gorgeous white sherwaani was now covered in his own blood slipped into the water.
'Ratan Saaa'' screamed Diya and following her Datahukum she was about to jump into the pond when Abhay and yash held her
'nahi Diya baisa ap maat jayi ye'' said yash
'woh Datahum''she was trying very hard to free her from there clutches
'Diya pani electrified hai'' snapped Abhay
and that's when she noticed that he was right the water was electrified and Ratan was electrocuted. Chill ran down her spine and she couldn't bear to watch him suffer like that.
'mujhe jane do...unhe nikalo'' Ratan was soon taken out of it using wooden materials.
She ran to him and he was unconscious, drenched and burnt in various places because of the electric shock.


Abhay took her inside the hospital and covered the shivering Diya with his jacket.
'Yeh apki galti nahi thi aur nahi apke Datahukum apke se naraz hain yeh sirf unki ek koshish thi apko apki khushiyan wapas dene ki nahi unhe aur nahi hum mein pata ki iss natak ka ant aise hoga''
She looked at him with shock, 'natak? Yeh hamla bhi iss natak ka?''
'nahi Diya yeh hamla kaise hua yeh hum mein nahi pata''
She closed her eyes. For the last few weeks the 'dushman'' had been targeting her instead of ratan and today he was doing the same but Ratan came in between.

'Diya'' she opened her eyes 'Ratan sa ne apke liye yeh letter dia tha kaha tha ki hum dono jab yaha se dur chale jayenge tab apko yeh dene kiliye likin mujhe lagta hain apko abhi yeh parna chahiye''
