Ratan needs Diya so he can learn the ins and outs of the family business. Who else knows the business better, as CEO of Kesal Group.
Also for protection, as he currently is no way near ready to navigate family matters.

Diya needs to protect Ratan. Her whole adult life has been subsumed in everything Ratan, and I'm not at all convinced she's ready to leave him to himself. There will be many interesting 'talks' about this. For Ratan to thrive, he needs to come into his own strength.

I believe a fully mature Ratan will be a lot for Diya to handle. She hasn't dated, or had a relationship with a man since Abhay 12 yrs ago! She's an emotional virgin.

I really can't wait to see how this plays out!

Wow, that'a a different view I hadn't thought of. Before the serial started, everyone thought that Diya would be the worldly, mature one and Ratan, the care-free immature one. But now that you mention it, both Diya and Ratan have their own maturities and immaturities in different areas. Both need to have different experiences and grow. I will love to see how this pans out!

@NK1865: for some reason I can't 'like' ur post :( so decided to reply!
Tbh I was intrigued when I realised the only thing keeping Diya at KM was a deep sense of loyalty and the bond she shared with Ratan's father. No marriage, even if invalid. I actually thought she and Yash were going to be revealed as a past item, but obviously not.
I'm loving the show so far, and I wonder if the first of these talks will take place right after his coronation. I can't wait to see Ratan's reaction to that! A swordfight with his uncle?! That's some guts!

you had posted different n correct angle in which story should be proceed n focus.
diya had done peheredaari for 12 years so it will not easy for her to leave all this instantly though she is trying things which yash suggested.

on the other hand ratansa needs her too did u notice when all family members gathered around him he was still looking at diya, her to come forward n help him with crowd of relatives. and in yesterdays epi he was asking help in untying nada. so he is dependent on her for small things also and he thinks she is one who can help him whereas yash also there to ask that. but diya comes first in his mind. he is not ready n trained to handle both family and business though he told diya to free herself from all responsibilities.

you r right when she can't handle his mere beautiful comment for her beauty then how can she handle fully matured ratansa. so she got confused to express her feelings when he complimented her beauty.

it will be really interesting journey for both ratansa n dia if ph handle it properly n maturely.
