So here comes Chapter 8 of The Memory...

-THE PRESENT-
"Ananya Calling" - The Mobile screen displayed.
Kabir stared at it and just threw it on the co-passenger seat and said out - You Broke my trust Ananya!!! You just broke my trust!!!
He switched on the ignition and shifted the gear with disgust in his heart. He placed his foot on the accelerator pad and took a deep breath. Kabir's jaw tighted and he banged his hand on the arm support and shouted - I trusted you God damit !!! How could you do such a thing?? I just Hate you!!! I Hate you Ananya!!
He applied force on the accelerator but the car just stopped. His anger was increasing my the second. He shouted - Now THIS was left to happen!!
Kabir restarted the engine and tried again, but his car just didn't start.
Suddenly he felt as if he heard something from behind and Kabir looked back.
There was a man in the back seat.
Kabir's eye widened and before he could react he heard his door being opened.
" Hello Mr.Kabir Sharma"
"Ahh!!" Kabir shouted. He was breathing heavily. He looked around and there he was lying on a bed, in a room he never knew.
He felt as if his body was deprived of oxygen. He just couldn't stop taking in laboured breaths . Kabir slowly touched his sweaty forehead but during this process his right arm pained so much that he winced.
What was happening to him? Where was he? Why couldn't he get up? Why was his body feeling so weak? Why is his arm hurting so much?
Kabir's mind was asking so many questions but he could only voice out a weak - "Ananya... Where are you? "
He called out again - Ananya...
But his voice seemed to lose its sound the moment it left his dry lips.
"Where Am I?" - Kabir murmered.
His eyes burned and now he could feel a pain in back of his head. His legs felt paralyed but slowly he could feel his toe fingers.
Kabir took in a deep breath and tried to get up. But he just couldn't. His head was spinning.
He said out weakly- Where am I ? Ananya?...
Kabir's vision was bluring by the second. He blinked his eyes to keep himself awake. He had to know where he was. He looked to the side and there was a table. And something was on top of it. He reached his hand toward the piece of paper.
During this effort he could see that there were blood clots on this forehand. And it was aching badly.
The pain was just unbearable.
Finally the newspaper was in his hold. Kabir brought it to the range of his vision. And the very look of it made his heart stop.
"3 years ago you slapped Ananya and left her and ran away... The moment you slapped her .. She died... Ananya is dead Kabir..."
"Three years Kabir... Three years you were in coma... They told you will never wake up..."
"This is Junior Reporter Regina Marcus Reporting for NewsXS channel"
"You were so Angry !! She leaked the news you found isn't it? "
""POWER HUNGRY EDITOR KILLS REPORTER"
"You were driving like crazy. And all of a sudden, you crashed into a lorry"
"Every one at KKN were an eye witness that you killed Ananya... Kabir you couldn't be saved... Even Ananya's mother made a press statement that she had made the biggest mistake by accepting her daughter's relationship with you..."
" When you wake up... Your not trusting me... Don't I deserve another chance Kabir ?? "
Kabir let go of the newspaper article and closed his ears to shut out Shreya's voice. But he could hear everything she said in a loop. His heart was beating so fast!! He kept repeating - No ... No ... No!!
But her voice just didn't stop playing in his head. Kabir could feel this hands go numb all of a sudden. He let them fall on the either side of his body and he started gasping for breath.
His body wanted more air but he just couldn't breath properly. His vision was half reduced and he could feel his heart drumming throughout his body. He was shivering and shaking.
He tried to call out for help. But he just couldn't.
Kabir was losing consciousness. And his body was giving up.
"That slap ... I still remember it... We all were so shocked ...It's sound was heard so loudly..."
"" Ananya just fell down.. Her head hit the table... And you just walked out of the cabin as if nothing happened..."
" Ananya..." - He called out.
But only air left his gasping mouth.
And everything went blank.
Pitch black.
Kabir could only hear his heart beats. Was he dreaming. Was he dead?
Suddenly he could smell a sweet fragrance. He rememberd that fragrance... He could never forget it.
" Ananya" - His mind called out.
And amidst all the darkness, he could see her standing there. Her back was turned towards him.
He called out "Ananya..."
And then slowly she turned towards him and there she was with tears in her eyes.
She was crying. She was hurt... Her face looked so sad... But why?
Kabir called out Again - Ananya... What happened?
The tears kept leaving her eyes and she was trembling with fear. Why was she so scared? Why was she shivering?
"Is... Is she scared of me?" - Kabir thought.
"Kabir I know your angry on me... But please... Let me explain it to you ... It's all a mistake"- She said pleadingly.
Kabir asked - What?..Why should I be angry on you Ananya?
But her eyes widened and her tears increased. She was shaking with fear.
" Kabir ... Please ... It's not what your thinking ..."- She managed to voice out amidst her tears.
" Ananya... Please don't cry... " - Kabir said trying to reach out to her.
Ananya's eyes widened even further. She nodded her head in denial and said coming towards him with her right hand stretched out - "Kabir why are you saying that...? Please Kabir..."
But suddenly she stopped mid way and her laboured breaths increased 10 folds.
Kabir tried to go towards her but he couldn't.
"Kabir..."- she whispered between her sobs looking down.
And suddenly as if he said something, she looked up towards him with those painful teary eyes and pleaded- "Kabir... Please..."
And then as if her soul was taken away from her she looked at him like a lifeless body. Suddenly Kabir couldn't hear his heartbeats anymore. But there she was staring at him with so much pain that the very look at her made him shiver.
She whispered out - I...I... love you Kabir... How... Could you... How could you compare me with Shreya... ?
"What?"- Kabir asked.
But then she just vanished into thin air. He couldn't see his Ananya anymore.
" Ananya!!!" - Kabir called out.
But it was just black.
Pitch dark.
But that sight of Ananya never left his mind.
" That sight...Why do I ...Why do I feel like, I have seen it before ?" - Kabir thought as he was consumed by sleep.

" Please... Just, let me speak to her for a second... What harm can it possibly do?" - Ananya asked placing her hand on the reception desk.
The Receptionist adjusted her Cat eye glasses and said with attitude - Miss. Ananya, we can't possibly allow you to meet our reporters without a prior notice.
" What? " Ananya exclaimed. She took a deep breath and said - See Miss whoever you are... Do I look like a school girl? I know how things work in a News channel, So better keep 'This sick attitude of your's to yourself!! You get that?
The Receptionist was flabergasted. She looked at Ananya and asked - What?
Ananya gave a questioning look and said - What 'what' ? See... Miss Smarty pants, I don't have all day .. And I am totally not in the mood to joke around ... I want to meet Miss. Regina Marcus Junior Reporter... She is my friend... Isn't that good enough for a reason?
The Receptionist rolled her eyes and corrected - Senior Reporter... She is a Senior Reporter...
Ananya's eyes widened.
"Ananya you know its been about 2 years since I am working at NewsNX channel and I am still a junior Reporter... "
She nodded her head blankly.
The Receptionist mumbled under her breath- One moment she is all pleading .. The next she is breathing fire and now she is dumbstruck... God just save me ... I don't know why isn't Regina willing to meet her... Well... I can't possibly blame her..
" You can tell it out loud... " - Ananya said with a sarcastic smile.
The Receptionist cleared her throat and said - One Second...
And she took the extention phone and dialed a number and said - Regina.. It's me, Muskan ... You have a visitor.. Please come fast...
She paused for a moment and looked at Ananya. She took a deep breath and said - I am not sure... Why don't you come and see for yourself?
She disconnected the call.
Ananya raised her eyebrows and remarked - Well ... That was harsh... You forgot who I am in a second?
Muskan gave a smile and said - Please take your seat mam...
Ananya looked at Muskan and then she thought - Is Regina trying to avoid me by purpose?
Ananya gave a nod . She looked at the visitors cabin adjacent to the Reception desk. But before she went there she stopped and asked softly- So... How is Regina? How is she dealing with her mother's health? Is her mom alright?
Muskan gave a confused look and asked- What happened to her mother...
"Who has come to meet me Muskan?" - A voice asked from the right corner.
The two girls looked towards the source.
Ananya smiled and said - Regina.. How are you? I tried calling you...
Regina's expressions dropped to disappointment within a fraction of a second.
Regina whispered out - Ananya... But... Muskan... You didn't tell me...
Muskan shrugged her shoulders.
Ananya looked at both of them and her facials tightened. She Said - I think it's high time we talked Regina...
Regina stood still for a moment. Then she gave a fake smile and came forward saying - Ananya... How are you?
Regina hugged Ananya. But Ananya didn't hug back. She asked- So how is your mom Regina ?
Regina broke the hug and said - Ah... Ya.. Ya... Mom is recovering slowly dear...
Ananya looked at her nervous friend. She smiled and said - Come let's sit and talk...
Regina gave a laugh and replied - Oh God Ananya.. I really want to have a long talk with you.. But trust me .. I have so much work to do... Being a junior reporter I can't afford to waste my time...
Ananya raised her eyebrows and asked slowly - Some habits don't leave you, Isn't it Regina?
Regina stared at Ananya. Ananya took a deep breath and said - Trust me Regina... I too don't have all day... Just answer my question... I gave you another lead that day... And the one you exposed was completely different... How did you lay your hands on that breaking news... ?
Regina froze for a moment. She didn't answer.
Ananya took a step forward and said - I hope this time you won't lie Senior Reporter Regina Marcus...
Regina gave a confused look. She asked nervously - Senior Reporter? What are you saying Ananya?
Ananya closed her eyes for a second and said - Do you really want me to catch you red handed ? Regina I trusted you... I need an answer to my question...
Regina said slowly - Ananya... Its true... You helped me with that news.. I can't thank you enough but for that... I can't possibly give in my sources ... Can I?
Ananya narrowed her eyes.
Regina gulped and said - Ananya... Have I ever asked you who is your stringer? No isn't it? So why are you asking me that? Eh?
Ananya shuck her head and said - Regina... I am going through the worst phase in my life.. Please don't complicate it... Why are you dodging my question? Just tell me how did you get that lead?
Regina said - Ananya... I am not dodging your question... See, I too was in a look out for a lead at that time and my stringer had tipped me with Javas murder case... And with my other sources I was able to figure things out...
Ananya nodded her head in denial and said - That's not possible Regina...
Regina looked down and said - Ananya.. I know I ain't as capable as you are.. But don't underestimate people...
Ananya glanced at Regina and said - Regina.. I never meant that... It's just that the same lead...
Regina intrupted - Ananya... I know, What you meant.. But I can't blame you... I am sorry if I hurt you by not making use of your lead... It was just that, I felt Javas murder case was a better breaking news.. And I didn't want to take a chance with my mother's life... You too have a mother isn't it?
Ananya's eyes softened. She said slowly - Regina... It's ...
Regina intrupted again- It's fine Ananya... Now, can I take a leave? I have so much work honey... We will definitely catch up another time... I promise..Okay...?
Ananya said - But...
Regina quickly said - Bye Ananya...
And she ran into the office swiping her access card leaving behind a clueless Ananya.
Ananya looked at the Receptionist. Muskan was busy in her work.
She took in a deep breath and thought - Is Regina telling the truth?... Or did she just fool me a second time around? ... Oh God...Kabir... Where are you?...Why do I feel all this is connected to me helping out Regina? ...
Muskan looked towards Ananya who seemed lost and broken. She thought to herself - If I was her... I wouldn't have trusted Regina...

Kurana leaned back on his chair and said - I hope your not hiding anything from me... I need facts and not fake stories !! YOU GET THAT?
The man trembled at the Inspectors Stern voice. He wiped the sweat popping up on his face and said quickly - Sir... I am telling the truth... I am sure it was them... Please trust me...
Kurana looked at the stout man who's body was predominantly made up with well built muscles. He gave a sarcastic smile and said - Me? and trust a petty criminal like you?... In your dreams Rajpal...
Rajpal stared at the Inspector who seemed so angry and stressed that, he knew today wasn't a lucky day for him. He cleared his throat and said - Sir.. I have stopped everything after my child's birth... Now it's only the tea shop that pays me... Please trust me ... I can't be wrong.. I recognize them very well... It's Danny and his gang for sure...
Kurana placed his finger on his temple to calm his throbbing headache. He said - From what I remember, it was Danny and his gang who had tipped the police about your deeds 5 years back.. due to which you counted bars for a year or so... Well, history points out that you might be here to avenge your lost years...You can't deny that ... Isn't it Rajpal?
Rajpal's eyes widened. Yes.. the Inspector was right. He couldn't forget it. They had tipped the police for something he wasn't involved. It was the same day his angel was born... But instead of holding her in his arms, he was pushed into prison. 1 year... For 1 year the regret and anger that had built inside him was unbearable. But the moment he layed his eyes on his angel, all of it vanished and from that day he had decided to let go off all illegeal activities.
Rajpal closed his eyes and said slowly - Inspector... I am not the same Rajpal you knew 5 years back... If I was ... Then I would have been in jail for murder... Yes... I hate Danny and his gang for what they did... But I love my daughter more than the hatred for them...
Kurana knew that what Rajpal said was true. The man had come clean after his imprisonment and neither was he a part of any crime. But Kurana couldn't take a chance. It was regarding Kabir and the very fact was frustrating him that it was already 4 days !!! Is he even alive?
Kurana took a deep breath and said - This is a 'Very' important case Rajpal... And I just can't afford to take the wrong step... If I come to know that what you said was wrong then...
Rajpal nodded his head - Sir I am saying the truth... I can't be wrong.. It was them... Even though it was raining heavily that day, I recognized them...
Kurana looked at Rajpal and said - Hmm.. So your saying that, 4 days back, at exactly 9.30 pm, you saw Danny and his gang going in a Stone Beige coloured Honda City towards Ronara Forest.. And after that, at 9.40 or so, you saw them returning by foot from the forest, isn't it Rajpal?
Rajpal nodded his head and said - I am not sure about the colour nor the make of the car Sir.. But it's the same one the other constable showed me before I came inside... Danny was driving the car ... And I happened to notice it because suddenly the car brokedown 80 meters away from my shop and two of his men... I could recognize only one.. His name is Chapak .. Came outside and pushed the car, and after a lot of effort, it started and they went towards Ronara forest... After 20 mins or so, they returned by foot to board the city bus... The bus stand is just opposite my tea shop.. so I can't be wrong Sir... I saw them the whole time ... Danny and his 2 mates.. And one of them was his right hand, Chapak...
Kurana sat up straight and placed his elbows on his table and asked - And They didn't see you Rajpal?
Rajpal kept quite for a moment. He took a deep breath and said - Sir... I know they hate me... and all this years, I have tried my best to remain away from their sight.. And I did the same that night...
Kurana nodded his head. He asked - So there wasn't anyone else with them.. Anyone who seemed unconscious?
Rajpal shuck his head and said - No Sir... It was only the three of them... But from what I know, Danny always had Naidu and Mathew by his side... But that day they weren't there... I suppose they don't work together now...
' They would have been busy with handling Kabir... ' - Kurana thought.
Kurana closed his eyes. He asked - And do you possibly know where can we find Danny and his men?
Rajpal didn't reply. Kurana opened his eyes to look at a frowning Rajpal.
Kurana nodded his head slowly.
He thought- Is Kabir even Alive? Or am I too late ?
"Kabir is alive... I know he is alive !! ... Please try to find where he is... Please... Each minute is important!! "
Kurana got up from his chair and said - Rajpal, I need a statement from you, that say's you had seen them...
Rajpal nodded his head.
Kurana fastened his gun in his holster and said - Constable, lets leave now... We need to find Danny and his gang quickly... 'Each' and Every minute is important !!

" See... I am the boss here remember? I don't give a damn about who ever you are !! ... I payed you 20 lakhs for not doing such a blunder, You dumbhead!! What did I tell you? Eh?.. I told you to destroy the freaking car after you drugged him and brought him home... And what did you do? ... Planted the car where everyone could find it !!... PATHETIC!!" - Shreya spat into her phone as she opened the door to her posh bungalow.
She raised her eyebrow and scowled.
She closed the door shut and shouted into her phone- Just stop your chatter, Berly...
She paused and shout back- Danny .. Or who ever you are... Just listen to me... If you get caught, I promise you will regret it!! Understand? By the time you reach the police station.. I will see to that your dead... You get that? So it's better you hide yourselves and DON'T GET CAUGHT!!!
And with that she cut the call and took in a deep breath to calm her throbbing heart. All had to happen according to plan... If Danny got caught ... Then there wouldn't be any escape for her... It would all end...
" And I can't Allow that" - Shreya said out .
She took in some deep breaths and went to the kitchen. She quickly prepared some soup for Kabir. And she opened her refrigerator and took out a small bottle. She looked at it and said out - Today I will increase the dosage... What If it works and you completely give in, Kabir?
She smiled and she opened the bottle.
Just then her mobile chirped. She gave an annoyed look as saw who it was. She cleared her throat and attended the call- Hello... Khalid... What made you to call me ?
She rolled her eyes and replied - Khalid.. I don't remember reporting to you... I have come to have my lunch... Will be back in a while.. Until then, you can wait isn't it?
She pressed her lips and said - Hmm.. Bye...
And she disconnected the call.
" God I just hate that baldy..." - Saying this, she took the soup and went upstairs to Kabir's room.
She opened the door slowly and locked it once she entered inside.
Shreya went towards him and placed the bowl on the table and looked at Kabir. He was breathing heavily and she could see his eyeballs moving restlessly beneath his closed eyelids.
She placed her hand on his head and slowly creased it.
Shreya smiled looking at him. But then her smile faded as she noticed the newspaper on the side of the bed.
" He woke up inspite of the heavy dose?" - She thought.
She took the paper in her hand and looked at it. She gave a lopsy smile and placed it on the table.
Shreya called out - Kabir...
She turned to look at him moving a bit. She called out again as she held his hand in hers- Kabir... Wake up...
He stirred a bit. Shreya looked at his forearm... His veins were visible now and there were blood clots here and there. Her eyes softened and she thought- Oh God...look at what I have done to him... If only I knew how to inject properly...
She touched his hand and said - Don't worry Kabir... Everything will go on smoothly...
"When ... When did you come Shreya? "- A weak voice asked.
Shreya looked at Kabir and smiled. She placed her hand on his cheek and said - How are you feeling now Kabir? I have brought some soup for you... Have some, you will feel better...
Kabir just stared at Shreya blankly.
"What is he thinking?" - She thought.
She smiled further and got up and took the bowl of soup from the adjacent table and said- So how are you feeling now Kabir? Hmm?
Kabir stared at her and asked - Am I being drugged Shreya?
Shreya's eyes widened. Her heart suddenly started to beat so fast. She looked at him and gave a questioning glance.
Kabir closed his eyes and took in laboured breaths. The previous dose was still having an effect on him.
" I didn't get you Kabir...? Drugged?" - Shreya asked as innocently as she could.
Kabir opened his eyes slowly and said - I... I am not myself... Something's happening to my body... Tell me...Shreya... Are you drugging me?
Shreya kept quite for a second. She took a deep breath and sat near him on the bed and said looking at him- Kabir... What are you saying? How can I drug you? Oh God!! ... I think you haven't recovered properly yet...Kabir, It's only been a day since you woke up.. You were in coma for 3 years remember...? I think your body isn't coping up ...
Kabir closed his eyes again. He just couldn't keep them open. He asked slowly - Where did you go?
Shreya looked around trying to make up an excuse . She said - I was here Kabir... right next to you... Why ? What happened?
Kabir nodded his head in denial and said with his eyes closed- No... Tell me, where were you Shreya ?
Shreya took a deep breath and said - Kabir ... I told you already ... I was with you...
Kabir opened his eyes and looked at her. He slowly reciprocated the hold she had on on his hand and asked- You were at KKN right?
Shreya's eyes widened.She was completely taken aback by his question. She whispered out - KKN?
Kabir nodded his head slowly.
Shreya came a bit forward and said - Kabir... I told you... After Ananya died... KKN was shutdown... Now it doesn't exist...
Kabir looked at her and asked slowly giving a weak smile - Really?
Shreya nodded her head. She said -Yes... Now.. Let me give you some soup.
She slowly helped Kabir to sit up a bit by providing pillows as a support for his back and head.
Then Shreya took some soup in the spoon and forwarded it to Kabir.
Kabir asked -Which year are we in, Shreya?
Shreya's hand stopped in mid air.
She immediately fed him the soup and said - Ah... So how is the soup Kabir...? You love corn right .. I have made it for you...
" Why is she dodging my question?"- Kabir thought.
He nodded his head slowly. Shreya smiled and said - I just wish you become alright soon... Then everything will become perfect Kabir...
Kabir stared at her and asked - You really believe so? ...
Shreya fed some more soup to Kabir and nodded her head. She asked- Why not Kabir? Now you have woken up right?
" I am a murderer Shreya... I killed Ananya with my bare hands... I don't deserve a life... If I deserve something then it's prison... "- Kabir said softly after he gulped in the hot soup.
Shreya pressed her lips and kept quite. She said - No Kabir... It was just an accident... See... Just forget everything... Try to recover quickly, Okay?
And she fed him more soup. Kabir drank quitely. He was deep in thoughts and he looked so weak and drained.
Shreya thought - What is he thinking? ... I hope he believes me... His body is too weak to think straight...
" Shreya... Are you sure I met with an accident?" - Kabir asked weakly.
"Oh God ... Are these drugs even working on him?" - Shreya thought. She nodded her head slowly and she replied - Hmm.. Yes Kabir...
Kabir kept quite. Shreya made him drink the whole bowl of soup. Then she made him sleep properly and thought to herself- " This dosage of drug will definitely prevent you from thinking anything Kabir... Just a few more days ... You will stop asking all this..."
She got up from the bed and said - Kabir... Take rest... Try to sleep.. I have some work to do... If you need something.. Just call out to me.. Okay?
Kabir looked at her weakly. He didn't respond to what she said.
She smiled. She walked towards the door and unlatched it and went outside . Before she closed the door she looked at him and said - Take care Kabir.. I love you...
"I...I... love you Kabir... How... Could you... How could you compare me with Shreya... ? "
Kabir's eyes widened.
Shreya closed the door shut and locked it.
" This ... This was the last thing Ananya said to me .. I am sure of it..."- Kabir thought.
His head started to spin the very moment he started to think of her and tried to remember what had happened. Why couldn't he remember what really happened? Why was it all a misted Memory...
His mind was giving up again. His body was going back to sleep. Kabir closed his eyes.
"I...I... love you Kabir... How... Could you... How could you compare me with Shreya... ? "
" Did I really compare Ananya with Shreya?... " - Kabir thought as he fisted his hands.
"And ... After that..."- His heart felt so weak as he completed his own thoughts
"After that... Did I... Did I really slap her? "

"Okay .. Mr.Kurana.." - Ananya said over the phone as he walked into KKN.
She gave a weak smile and said - Hmm... I just wish Kabir is alright... Inspector, please try to hurry things up...
After a pause , Ananya nodded her head and said - Yes Inspector Kurana, I understand... Do inform me once you find the gang your after... Hope the eye witness was saying the truth... We can't take chances ...
Ananya took in a deep breath and said - Okay Inspector... Thankyou...
And she disconnected the call.
She swiped her access card and stepped inside . And immediately her eyes fell on Kabir's Cabin. Every time she looked at his cabin, It reminded her of the night 3 days back.
He was so angry... He was so frustrated... He was so irritated... It felt as if there was no love in him left for her ... She could only see hatred in his eyes that day.
Ananya eyes filled up with tears. She quickly wiped them off before anyone could notice it. She looked towards Roni's desk. He wasn't there. Richa and Sunny too weren't present , they had gone to cover Bihar elections.
" How are you Ananya?"
Ananya turned around to find Shreya looking at her with a smile.
"You showed me today that your not different from Shreya !! "
Ananya looked at her weakly and said - Hello Shreya...
Shreya smiled further and she came towards Ananya and held her hand.
Suddenly Ananya felt her heartbeat raise. She looked at Shreya who was giving a big warm smile.
Shreya asked - So.. Did Kabir contact you? Hmm?
Ananya didn't know why, the moment Shreya held her hand, her heart started to create havoc in her body. Ananya took a deep breath and asked - Ah?... Sorry I didn't pay attention to what you said ...
" Soon you will loose your senses too darling... Just wait and watch"- Shreya thought.
She said softly -It's okay Ananya... I understand the stress your going through... I asked,.. Did Kabir connect you?
Ananya's gaze dropped low. She nodded her head in denial slowly.

Ananya looked at her hand and she thought- Why did her touch affect me so much? Why did I feel like it was...
Ananya took in a deep breath and looked at Kabir's cabin. She thought - Where are you Kabir?... Where ? ...
She turned and saw Shreya walking up the stairs gracefully. Ananya thought - Shreya... Why do I always remember Shreya, when I think about where Kabir is?... Does she have anything to do with all this... Or ... Or is it that I am hurt about Kabir comparing me with her...

Ananya almost jerked . She looked at Manav. He was standing behind her with his hands in his pockets.
He smiled and said - I am sorry.. I didn't mean to startle you...
Ananya managed to say-"Manav Sir"- after she regained her composure.
Manav smiled and he looked up towards Shreya who had reached the top floor. And he remarked - Shreya Mam seems to be busy for the past 3 days... Do you know what's keeping her busy Ananya?
Ananya looked at Manav . She gave a confused look.
Manav's smile turned to a grin and he said - You don't know?... Well I thought you knew...
He paused for a second and said looking at Kabir's empty cabin- Hmm... I guess, Kabir didn't warn you about her capabilities isn't it?
Ananya's eyes widened.
Manav looked at the wide eyed Ananya and said - I hope you find Kabir soon... Competition isn't fun without your opponent', isn't it?
Saying that he patted Ananya on her shoulder and made his way to the PCR room.
Ananya just stood there at the same spot. But her mind had travelled thousand miles.
