Epilogue:
"what do you think?"Ananya asked giving a 270 degree twirl to kabir as she wasn't in a state to do a 360.She still had her crutches&was supposed to have it for another 2 weeks as the doctor's orders.Kabir looked at her with a willful look before closing the distance b/w them.
"You have left me with no power to think as you've blinded my senses.You look ravishing darling"Kabir whispered huskily in her ears causing her to blush.He kissed her cheeks holding her torsos,helping her to balance as they stood near his car outside her house,ready to leave to the success bash held at kkn.Ananya did look breath taking in her royal blue ,knee-length evening gown fitting her elegant curves&her beautiful curls left open.
"Thank you &you don't look bad yourself Mr.Sharma." Ananya said seeing kabir in grey tux&a royal blue hanky in his pocket matching her gown.He smiled at her before helping her to sit inside&hopped in&drove away.
As they reached their destination they entered inside kabir's hand protectively on her waist&one of her hands holding his torso for support.All the heads turned towards the lovely couple who smiled at everyone pleasantly.Ananya sure did make heads turn at her,ofcourse,everyone with eyes knew she was gorgeous.This made kabir's hand tighten on ananya's waist&she leaned on to him as if showing every other female that he was only hers&that too forever.
Kabir helped her sit down on a chair&soon they were accompanied by her friends who kept her entertained&some colleagues who dropped in to ask her how she was.Kabir politely excused himself wanting to get Ananya a drink.When he made it to the drinks counter he was approached by one of his colleague&indulged him in a coversation.Then he noticed Manav approach Ananya&saw her alone.Where had her friends disappeared?He was sure as hell Manav was putting a move on ananya.If looks could kill Manav would have been dead.Kabir excused himself&walked over to Ananya.Manav stilled&left ananya's hand as he saw kabir approaching them with a smile on his face,but his eyes told otherwise.
Ananya breathed a sigh of relief.She didn't want to interact with manav when she clearly felt him flirting with her.She had however managed to politely hold the conversation but felt a relief wash over her when she saw kabir returning to them.
"Hey Manav.I hope you are enjoying the party looks like you aren't so i see you with her.Next time i see you trying to make moves on my girlfriend I'll make sure my fist meets your face."kabir told bluntly shocking both Manav&Ananya.Manav angrily left from there while ananya looked at him wide eyed.
"You can't just do that kabir.No matter what he's our colleague & not to forget we share a work space with him"Ananya said coming out from her initial shock.
"Ya&that is why it is necessary to put him in his right place."Kabir shrugged his shoulders handing her the drink."Where are your friends?"he asked not seeing them with her.
"On the dance floor while i sit here mourning over my twisted leg"Ananya said moaning pointing at her friends on the dance floor.Kabir smiled at her before he excused himself&walked away.Ananya looked at his retreating back&shook her head.
"There he goes leaving me alone at my misery"She muttered to herself when she felt the spot light fall on her.She looked up to see that the loud music had stopped&there was a soft song,her favourite song'Thinking out loud'(Ed sheeran)in the background.She looked at kabir standing before her,his hands brought forward,being his charming self&all eyes on them.
"May i have the pleasure of having a dance with the beautiful lady?"Kabir asked sincerely&she looked around to see people smiling at them&then looked back at him.Was he joking?
"Are you making fun of me?" she asked with a curious look making people chuckle.He smiled&shook his head.
"I'm serious as I'll ever be" kabir said not taking his gaze away from her.
"I'm kind of disabled right now"she said making a point&he smiled at her warmly.
"Do you trust me?"He asked&she nodded without hesitation.
"Then dance with me"He commanded&she placed her hand on his.He made her get up slowly before putting her entire weight on him as he made her stand on his feet.Hers on his.
They moved to the slow music,Ananya's hands circled on his neck as he held her by her waist as they drowned in each other's eyes.
"Six months ago if someone would say we would end up like this I'd laugh on their face but now...It's...thank you for coming to my life&Making it wonderful.I don't know what to offer you in return"Ananya said hiding her face in his chest.Kabir smiled&shook his head.
"It's nothing compared to what you've done.You made me feel alive,human,made me a part of you.Making me feel loved&cherished.Giving me a chance to make you my life.You Ananya is the best thing given to me.YOU ARE MY LIFE&I'm going to hold on to you forever."He whispered as he held her.
