Hi Geetha..managed to watch the epi despite myself. It was agonizing to say the least, and yes, the actor playing Ronnie's mom was not the best, but the situation itself was so heart-wrenching that the eyes welled up.
Kabir's grief and the quiet anger simmering in the tear-filled eyes was very effectively portrayed today by Rajeev 👏. The part where he was lighting the pyre reminded me exactly of this scene from this movie called "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" that I watched recently. In it, this Englishman in his 60s comes to India to look for the Indian boy he was "in love with" in his youth which he spent in India. Of course, such things were taboo even in Western countries then, and definitely in the India of the past, so as soon as the adults got to know of their relationship, they separated them and sent the boy back to England. Now the Englishman wants to meet this man (the boy he still loves) one last time before he dies. He does find him. And the Indian man's wife isn't surprised to see him at all! She knows! They meet. They hug. The Englishman dies. And the Indian man cremates him in Hindu style with his wife watching in the background. It is so poignant and touching, the scene that stood out the most in this movie for me! And that is what today's scene in Reporters reminded me of. Now go ahead. Call me deluded.

The scene transition from the funeral to Tinnu in disguise was so totally jarring for me! 😛😛

Ananya being out of action definitely seems like a shortfall for Kabir...already he's one man short in his army and that too the most trustworthy, capable one! May I say the office meet with Kabir and the rest of the gang seemed so empty, so lacking without Ronnie and his cool thinking. 😭 They really should have had a grief counselor in to talk to all the staff, especially poor Richa. My heart really went out to her today.
I was just thinking as I watched that in her moments of lucidity Ananya should not be seized by irrational anger and do something impulsive yet again like threaten RG! And now I read spoilers that she's brandishing a gun! I do hope she doesn't do something crazy.. its time for her to behave responsibly now at least! Kabir's been shouldering all the responsibility so far for most things, but at least I should say this for Ananya.. she courageously broke the news to Ronnie's mom. That was good. Now lets see what more sensible stuff she's capable of.

Yeah Rabzy, it was a good epaiode, but it is expected to be a good one, they always give us subtle, powerful emtomal episodes, as long as there is not logic involved, the team will do great ;).

Manav Bhai confuses me, Is he such a dumbo to stick with Shreya still? He understands she is mentally instable, and it won't be long before she totally breaks down, what does he plan to achieve by sticking to her side?

Geetha...just taking each episode as it comes..really don't want to keep my expectations high now...but yes I was in tears seeing the funeral..did they even have to show this twist in the name of getting extensions by a few episodes...Rajeev as always was excellent...and also felt terribly sorry for Richa...the psycho Shreya seems to be getting out of hand...seriously...what have they done with the story...terribly dissappointed...just a few episodes to go and couldn't they show us those rocking episodes that Reporters was known for...now really upset with KaYa story too...except for Kabir ( Rajeev) who has only loved Ananya right from start...anyways hope they give us good episodes atleast now...more of reporting...

Loved your reviiew as usual...

Lata, are we sure this death track is as a result of extension. I don't know, it seemed too stupid to me if it is.

Don't worry, KaYa would be back, Annaya needs time to regroup herself, she had gone through a life shattering experience.

I don't expect anymore reperting, except the elusive SK case..

Quite liked the episode, understated and impactful- truly reporters style.

Kabir owned the episode today, each expression was bang on. The feeling of loss, pain, urgency and need for justice and on top of that worry for Anu. It's like another layer of responsibility has been added to his already burdened life. I have a lot of grievances with the writers, but this character of Kabir, il always remember fondly. RK has only gotten better with age.

Yup, it is truly a Repoeters style episode... Thoroughly enjoyed it. Can't comment on Rajeev getting better with age, but he certainly looks better now than how he looked during the start of the show. But that look suited that arrogant, manipulative Sharma and the current look suits the vulnerable lover.

Yes, Sampa, KKN looked empty without Ronnie, and I am sure it would much more worse when they show the news bulletins :(

Yes. Lizzie, Rajeev as Kabir portrayed powerful emotions today, and only with his eyes.. His glare to Shreya through the smoke was chilling.. Isn't it symbolic that after litting the pyre, he had to come to hold the fainting Ananya?

Today when he told Richa that they are his takat, I was taken back to the first time she said that to her, and the next scene between him and Ronnie where he tells him about Ananya doing a live interview of the MLA during Richa's bulletin, Ronnie's understanding smile and the silent comradire between the men.. How many such silent communication they had...

The scene transition from the funeral to Tinnu in disguise was so totally jarring for me! 😛😛

Editing mishap..

Ananya being out of action definitely seems like a shortfall for Kabir...already he's one man short in his army and that too the most trustworthy, capable one! I agree, Richa looks inconsolable, I always wondered whether she is harbouring some tender feelings for Ronnie which she herself isn't aware of.. During the time when she pressurised Ananya to accpet Ronnie's proposal, it looked like she had the best interests of Ronnie at heart than Ananya's. The friends gang looked lacklustre without Ronnie & Ananya.

Just a thought.. Can this gun incident be a hallucination of Shreya? She seems to be losing it fast..
