For my sanity I am going to take each episode as it comes and without keeping any expectations...overall it was a in indeed a good episode...the funeral was tastefully handled and they again excelled at portraying human emotions through those fine expressions...
Yes Preeti. We can't really help noticing the loopholes and illogical twists, but in general I am keeping my expectation my low. We are still watching the show, because it does give some sort of viewing pleaure / satisfaction at some level, isn't it? Let's leave it at that.
Kabir looked the most heart-broken of all to me...should appreciate Rajeev for bringing it out so well...Like I have once said on this forum that Rajeev is one of those finest actors who prove that it is not just about mannerism or impersonation but it is about sustaining a narrative with mind and body...his internal aptness saves the story from sagging for the audience on his part at least...he's very immersive and so physical..
Yes, Kabir looked most heartbroken. I can somewhere relate to it, he considers himself as the protector, the leader of the pack, and when such incidence happens, he takes the responsibility for whatever happens to the people who matters to him. While it is grief for others, for him it was not just greif, but a sense of ailure, of not protecting one of his,
I am glad too that there is no redemption for Manav..Ananya needs Kabir by her side and as expected he is going to stay over at the Kashyap's and also they need to do the necessary talking..
Yes, I rely on Kabir to do the talking and get Ananya out of this abyss.
So, the story is moving ahead gracefully because of its execution but Ronnie's exit has certainly left a void that cannot be neglected by the audience. We can possibly overlook the bloopers and loopholes but how do we overlook the abyss in the current story? To the makers Ronnie was a side character and thus they brought in such a twist to raise him to a hero status but to us he was always a hero right from the start. It is upsetting to know that they are taking our responses to this track as criticism because actually we are not criticising them but instead are praising them for giving us a character like Ronnie who is an equally integral part of the show just like the protagonists and that such a twist was uncalled for because he was already a hero for us right from the start and the fact that Kabir could have shown to be equally revengeful to punish the people behind attempting to kill Ananya and putting Ronnie in a battle with death (which he would have eventually won)...
The story seems to be incomplete without Ronnie and even the brilliant acting and the portrayal of urgency, the pain of loss, need for justice and worry for Ananya could not compensate for Ronnie's truancy. Also, though Kabir's army are shown to be filled with strong feelings of vengeance they won't ever come across as strong as they would have been with their commander in chief...Did the makers actually realise that such an irreplaceable void would occur and the ways they could counterbalance it? Err...through presenting us the pill popping psycho? Through some action packed settling of scores?...I love Rajeev and Kritika to the core but I have to say this that even their brilliant performance will not be able to compensate for Ronnie's absence from the show (this itself is a proof that he was never a side character in the show and how important his character was in the story...he gave the story so much of its dynamics...I so miss the powerful bond between RoKa already..)...
So, in short their desire to give us something different this time took away the kernel of the story instead...*sigh*
And I have heard that we have been assured of a happy ending? That's a good thing but will I be able to enjoy it totally? I am not sure of it because at the moment this once a beautiful story has left a torrid taste which might fade away with each passing episode but do whatever it won't be able to make up for the absence of Ronnie in the show and its climax!
PS : I am actually surprised that the makers who understand and portray human emotions and its complexities so fairly are the one's who are unable to understand our point of view!
Preeti, on principle I pay no heed to what the writers, actors or the core team says, both good and bad. What I understand about creative people, most of them have big egos, and they can't really take criticism well. But what they fsil to understand.. Yes, it is thier creativity and baby, but they have not created it just for their pleaure, they brought it to us because they need our acceptance and appreciation of it. That makes us the consumers of their product. And as a consumer, I have my own rights.
