my theory regarding the timeline of the story -
the story starts from 8yrs back, when SK was falsely framed by the company he worked for. at that time KS was a budbudati reporter himself, working for Janta Times, which was his first job (source: Kabir questionnaire). he worked there for 3days , and then shifted to Delhi Kranti, where he worked for the next 8yrs before becoming EIC of KKN.
now, during his 3days stint at JT, he wrote his first article on SK, that Ananya kept with her all these 8ys in the locket. since he worked there for only 3days, we can safely assume that he wrote the remaining articles on SK after shifting to Delhi Kranti. till the time he was involved with SKs case, there was no sign of Shreya in his life. coz agar aisa hota, toh he would have confessed about it to Laxman atleast.
SK ke saath jo hua so hua. he got killed and Kabir had to leave behind his family. now he started to live at a small rented house. after somedays, he got whiff of another pharmaceutical scam. and this time, it was Shreya's company. or her father's to be precise. Shreya tried hard to make him give up the case, but Kabir refused and ultimately got her company penalized. this story earned him the award of " Most Promising Journalist of the Year" (source: Kabir's confession of his past to Ananya) and (my assumption) the promotion to the post of Senior Reporter at the workplace.
all these happened within the one year after SKs case (my assumption). Shreya started pursuing Kabir, they dated for a year (Shreya's POV to Anita ) and finally got married. this itself reduces the timeline to 8 -(1+1) = 2yrs ie now 6yrs. Kabir's married life lasted 1 & 1/2 yr, which included his ONS with Tarini, his junior + best friend. this again brings down the timeline to 6 - 1 1/2 = 4 & 1/2 yrs.
so technically speaking Shreya didnt have a chance to know about SKs case from Kabir, unless Kabir had blabbered about his guilt to her in a drunken state or she's directly involved in planning SKs murder. also, a lot of people said that Kabir is about a decade older to Ananya. i disagree. Ananya is working for 3-4yrs, and Kabir since 8yrs. he's 4-5 yrs senior to her in the profession and IMO, in that case he'll be at most 6-8 yrs senior to her in age. usse zyada ho hi nahi sakta.
