Isha's eyes widened in sudden shock. She swallowed, as Ananya silently watched the two of them. Isha set her jaws and looked away for a moment in thought but then turned back her eyes on him to begin. '' purba works as a field journalist of CNN India, her success gave her enemies too. Afew days back she called me to say that she was getting threat calls. I got afraid and asked her to inform police, but she obviously didnt take it too seriously. But she asked me to give a thing, a file of her secret investigation to Ananya if something goes wrong.''

''wrong such as getting kidnapped ?'' kabir wriggled his eyebrows. But Ananya jumped up hearing her name. '' to me ? But isha didi, we do not work in same channel and moreover we are not in touch 3years. Why me ? Why not to any of her colleagues ?'' Isha drew a sad smile, ''she trusted you more than any of her office mates. And perhaps she knew only you could be so brave and intelligent to finish her project'',she explained. Looking back at Kabir, she continued,''she precisely told me to give it to ananya in secret. So i didnt want to say anything in front of you.but anyway, now you know.'' Kabir nodded absently and while isha took out a thick sealed package from her handbag and handed it to ananya. It felt heavy in her hands,she could barely resist the temptation to rip it open and examine the contents. But then Purba wanted her to see it in private, she didnot want to breach her trust.Tearing her eyes away, she asked Isha, '' what do you know about this secret assignment ?''.

Isha shrugged. ''Hardly anything. She never discussed about her work with me, and i never pressed her. You know how she moody she is and how much she dislikes interference in her life.'' Yes, that was very much like her. Purba, as Ananya remembered was independant,fiercely ambitious,set to win everytime,very much hated being bossed around, coming second to anything and getting rejected.she was whimsical too, she dropped her economics course midway and joined journalism class because she got bored with dry theories. The world was her playground and she was determined to play with her own set of rules. Purba and ananya had hardly anything common in nature or social background they belonged except for one thing, one person to be more specific. They were both mad fans of Mr. Kabir Sharma, the star journalist of print media, their idol, their inspiration to be fearlessly honest as reporters.

I very much understand your state of mind and the tumulous storms raging within!! I have know you too much and for long .So , instead of removing the siggy, add another one!! Yeah, It may appear a lot fangirly, but i suggest you keep it! Watching it everytime you open IFwill help to calm the inner turmoils caused by certain meadows 😉
