A refreshing change

I have noticed many posts regarding the pros and cons of the show. well here i am with my opinions. it was refreshing to watch an official introductory scene in a show where the heroine isn't overwhelmed with hormones seeing the hero, and the hero getting mesmerized by the heroine's beauty. i know there might be some yash chopra scenes in the future where the heroine's hair will have wind go through it and the hero catching her when she falls.
i know some people are getting very analytical with the realness of the story. but guys we do have to compromise a bit in this area because this is a fictional show. not everything will be believable or logical all the time. we don't want this show to become crime patrol.

and guys this is only the fifth episode. so far i like the flow of the show. we wont get the whole background of the characters instantly. it would take out the fun and suspense part of the show. i am glad that there is a show that is very heavy on dialogue. it's a breath of fresh air from all the typical saas bahu drama crap.

and honestly i am a huge fan of heroes that are flawed. i find kabir's character so appealing because he represents much of the mindset that this generation has, the competitive streak and the practical thinking. he's not the typical angry young man. i love that rajeev underplays the role, or else we would have another cliched hero of tv.

so far i am loving the pace of the story. the performances are brilliant as expected from RK and KK. and the best thing is the show is finite and will have a well written plot. none of that stretched out crap that other shows go through.

do comment and give your opinion. and of course no offense meant to anyone.

Agreed!
But I guess everyone has different reasons for watching the show..
Some want to see Rajeev-Kritika's chemistry, some are in awe of the plot, some want to understand the process of newsmaking as it happens while there are others who want to see a wide display of human emotions as the characters grow from strength to strength..
And by emotions, I mean all possible human emotions - not OTT melodrama that we're used to on TV..
Personally, I am a huge fan of the American drama - The Newsroom and if Reporters can match up to it's namesake in terms or performances and plots, it'll be a great achievement.. (i know the makers have said it's not a remake, but let's face it-it does seem like one so far..)

Besides the makers have/and are claiming that the show is a trendsetter in Tellywood.. So it's but obvious that we as viewers will have very high expectations from them..
And the genre of the show is such that they have to make it seem real and underplay it, coz else there won't be any difference from the likes of similar shows we have..

Soo.. Yup.. It's too early to judge, but obviously Reporters has managed to grab a few eyeballs and I hope it only grows from here..

P.S. Crime patrol is the most fake thing on TV.. The added mirch masala simply takes away from the meat of the story.. 😆
Kidding!
